Survived yet another presentation at contact time! Luckily it was a short and sweet one; 3 mins chop chop.

Interestingly I did my first presentation at contact time exactly 1 year ago!

And also survived a canteen meeting yesterday. Really dislike meetings that require me to chair or present. My favourite type of meetings are the kind where I can be a backbencher, relax in one corner and blend into the chair. Haha! I particularly dislike canteen meetings because 1) I have to chair it 2) I have to constantly switch between languages 3) it's not easy trying to handle a bunch of disgruntled aunties and uncles who have no regard for rules 4) I am so much younger than them! I think they just don't take me very seriously.

I inwardly groan and moan when get arrowed to take charge of something, and doing work reviews with my reportees are a chore. I'm content to just be left alone to do whatever I want. Haha I either have a very obvious lack of ambition or I am just plain lazy with zero motivation (hmm that sounds more or less like the same thing...). I was even contemplating downgrading to be like a small fry executive with no responsibilities because I don't think I'm cut out to manage people. But of course this alarming lack of ambition and chill work attitude hampers my salary growth, which was already lagging behind my peers since the start of time. Add that to the fact that I don't have a professional degree and there's nothing else that I can jump into now that I'm not considered a "fresh grad", I'm pretty much stuck here.

Some shuffling happening at the workplace recently - my RO is posted out and a new one will be coming in in June! And dum dum dum... she's a lady boss. Of course I hope she'll be nice and easy to work with... but ah... too many complicated workplace dynamics/politicking (mostly due to 1 specific person). My contract ends in 11 months! Dang that feels like a long time. What I should be doing next if I don't intend to continue?

For now, no choice, work has to go on! I have a $478K flat waiting after 3 years :x

And 1 more day to my sister's wedding! She is doing without the posse of jiemeis so I am essentially a one-woman operation tomorrow during the bargaining process HAHA.

Hehe the bears are so cute! 

We gave them a bath on Sunday and now they are fluffy and fresh! :D

Looking to tailor suits for the bears so that they can wear them for our photoshoot, hope we can settle this before we leave for our holiday! :x

And our bears will be seating in the first pew witnessing our wedding in their smart little suits! Or at least that is the plan. Hurhurhur :D

Photoshoot is on 22 June / next day after we touch down after holiday so... not a lot of time left to prepare. Yikes! My body and weight is definitely not ready despite eating salad for lunch for 3 or 4 weekdays the last 2 weeks and exercising... going to McRitchie for runs... going for my own runs... yoga... swims... Corinne is away on holiday for 2 weeks so training has been suspended for the time being!

I need to go and buy some shapewear and look for my wedding shoes!!! And colour my hair before I go on holiday! And prepare my props!

In other exciting news, my sister's wedding is coming up in 10 days!

How I felt after knowing that there are available seats for 2 at Jiro Sushi, through Voyagin. LOL. It was quite a challenge trying to get reservations in the first place especially for foreigners!!! Apparently they only accept phone reservations and we can't speak Japanese, neither do we have friends in Japan. But it was such a pity to pass at the chance to dine at one of Tokyo's best sushi establishments since going to Tokyo is not like you know, suka suka can just drop by Orchard Road like that!

We failed to get a reservation at the original outlet in Ginza so the next best alternative would be the Roppongi outlet which is helmed by the master's son. No fish prawn also good la! The meal still costs an arm and a leg though. :x And just booking through Voyagin's concierge service costs like US$30 -_-" *sweats*

But never mind! Research shows that people are actually happier and more satisfied paying for experiences rather than material goods!

 It's going to be the meal of a lifetime!
