Oh look at the time! I'm late. :(

To: 우리 몸짱 민봉! 생일 축하해! :)

You smexy performer, if the articles are true, and if you are coming to Singapore in November, I am SO going to buy front row seats, wave my orange lightstick like crazy, drool, and scream a lot! :D Not necessarily in that order. LOL!

There is a new sports and recreation centre in Sengkang. Bad thing is, there is no track! And I only found out that there is no track after I made a trip all the way there. >__< But there's a fancy swimming pool with slides and all the works though. Bet it'll be crowded when it opens.

Part of the reason why I went in search of the non-existent track was because I really need to train for the Nike Human Race. I have 1 month to psych myself to run 10km! Or at least accomplish the more achievable - run 5km and walk 5km. Hmm. I'm starting to think that I'm a little ambitious with this run thing, especially since it's my very first run. I'm going to make use of the Hill's gym tomorrow. It's free!

Will she make it for the 10km or will she not? Stay tuned.

I didn't go out at all this weekend and I managed to finally clean my table! Yay! After telling myself for weeks (or maybe months) that I should really clear that mess. And I also watched Love Letter, WGM, ANTM, and a lot of 1박 2일! :)

1박 2일 (1 Night 2 Days) is quickly catching up the ranks to become my all time favourite Korean variety show. HAHAHA it's total hilarity!!! I recommend all to watch!!! I'm super hooked onto it now!

Anyhoo, I am very tempted to go to Korea in Sept. VERY TEMPTED.
DONGWAN!!!! is having a solo concert. Aisshhh.

If only money grew on trees...

I read in the papers today that Grant Hackett is in Singapore with the Australian swim team, and Michael Phelps will be coming to Singapore too.

Ahhh Thorpe why did you retire so early? If only you were participating in this year's Olympics... then perhaps you would have been in Singapore too. Then maybe I have a 1/1000000 chance in bumping into you! Ahahaha.

But still, I'm looking forward to the Olympics swim races. It's my fav sport to watch! Too bad they're showing the races at a disgustingly inconvenient time in the morning. =x

Ahahaha as a sequel to my Getting-Locked-Up-in-a-Bus episode, I overslept on the bus (again) and found myself at the interchange (again). Only difference is that I wasn't locked up in an abandoned bus - because the bus was already embarking on its return trip when I woke up!

Hmmm, I don't know if I slept through the entire time the bus was parked or if the bus wasn't parked at all - I guess I'll never find out. My little bus misadventures are starting to feel extraordinarily normal. -___-"

Here I am on a Sunday night again...

I think I am seriously living for my weekends only. I love my weekends! Weekends are all that keeps me going on weekdays...

We had fun taking graduation photos at the Esplanade on Saturday! Will post some up after I get hold of the photos.

Plus I got a Shinhwa post-it from Korea! Hahaha THANKS ADE! Totally made my day! :)

Okay now to look forward to the next weekend... 5 days more. :(

I signed up for the Nike Human Race a few days ago.

I leave you some time to reel in shock from that astonishing revelation. LOL.

Anyhow, I've always wanted to do those marathon/jogathon/walkathon thingamigs and since there's an opportunity for me to try it, why not? We are only young and crazy once. I have nothing to lose - well, except for maybe a few kilograms of fats.

My personal target is to jog 5km without stopping! Yes, nothing ambitious like conquering 10km in an hour. In fact if I can tahan 5km, I would consider it a great personal achievement. Anything more than that is an added bonus! And then I will walk/crawl/drag myself for the next 5km to reach the finish line. Ahahaha.

And I'm not even training for this race. My training is only limited to my Sunday jogs. Hahaha wish me luck.

EDIT: Ch U's showing Fantasy Of Couple after that 一切完美 show! :) That show is love. Imma watch it again!
Sigh I haven't watched any new Korean dramas in yonks. Ditto Grey's Anatomy. :(

09.07.08 - 我毕业咯!!!

Every graduate has to do this Toss The Motar Board thing

Commencement was last Wed. Well, quite happy lah. To have finally graduated. I thought I wouldn't feel especially ecstatic since I've already felt that I've graduated quite long ago, having started work and everything, but I guess this ceremony gives an official stamp, a closure, to the end of my life as an undergrad. It's like finally after 3.5 years of toiling, it finally culminates into THIS MOMENT. I would consider graduating the most important thing I have achieved in my life so far. It's a happy occasion!!! :)

Me with my parents! I think they are quite happy that we've finally got a graduate in the family too hahahaha :D
But too bad my sisters couldn't come! :(

And my 2 best pals! Thanks for coming down to take pictures with me :)

Heh and my mom bought me a graduation bear! So cute eh! And it's super expensive too. But its wearing the same graduation gown as I am! With the pink hood!

The day itself was a little messy though, thanks to my super procrastination skills. First the gown that I rented was too big, then I couldn't fit into my black pants coz I grew too fat for it. Thanks to all the wonderful people who helped me out, I managed to borrow a smaller sized gown and survived the day with terribly aching feet (thanks to running around in heels all day long) and "or pin" pants. I forgot to take a picture, but I bought a pair of black pants on the very morning of my commencement and it was too long for me. I had no time to alter it of course, so I had no choice but to use those black pins, those "or pin" that you use to pin your hair with, and tack my pants up with those. HAHAHAHA. Super ridiculous looking.

My moment of glory! With cute bear, dummy scroll and certificate!!

Okay I've got a few older pictures to post... no time like the present to post them up since I'm already blogging.

St. Nicks 75th Anniversary Alumni dinner! 03.07.08

The dress code is Chinois Chic... which means cheongsams and mandarin collars. Explains why all of us are dressed in such oriental outfits. :D

In the toilet, where everyone was rushing to get ready after work...
If you look closely, you can see 校长 in between Gillian and Sandy! Should have asked her to take a pic with us eh..

I had no oriental-inspired outfit at all so I had to borrow a top from Angie.. my sis says I look like I'm 30 years old in that top leh :(

That's all of us! :)

I think the rest took a picture in front of that painting 7 years ago, during Sec 4 Grad night! :D
Heh when we were in Sec 1, it was only the 65th anniversary!!! :)

Ah darn 1am already I have to get ready to go sleep. WHERE DID MY WEEKEND GO TO?!?!?!

Seems like I'm always moaning about the mysterious loss of my weekend every Sunday night. :D But that's because I have too many things to do and not enough time!

Greetings! This is my first post on the spanking new computer! :)

2GB RAM, 140GB hard drive (I find 140GB too little for my voracious appetite of hoarding videos hahaha), Windows Vista platform (still trying to get used to it), huge screen that allows me to view all my HQ videos! Yay!!! :)

Goodbye slow sluggish computer! You have served me well for the past 5 years!

I spent the whole Sunday afternoon fixing up the comp, installing programmes and reconfiguring the system but it's still missing a lot of the old stuff I used to have. At least I keep all my stuff on my portable hard drives so the transition was relatively smooth.

Even the keyboard is nice to type! Wheee!!!

Just like any other normal day, my commute home was very much normal... I squeezed up the crowded bus, found a seat in the packed upper deck, watched a bit of 1D2N that I loaded onto my Zen last night, and then proceeded to catch my usual two winks. Plugged into the Zen, with 흔적 playing on repeat, I dozed off...

... and woke up to find myself in semi-darkness, all alone on the upper deck of the bus, with the bus parked at the bus interchange! @____@ Goodness knows how long I've been sleeping there, in an empty bus in the bus bay! I could have slept there forever till I inhaled all the oxygen that's left in that bus and then died there. LOL.

But I can't believe the bus driver doesn't check for errant or total sleepyhead passengers (like me) before turning off the engine, shutting the doors and going for his break. I mean, I could have been a total psychopath on the run; I could have been a fugitive who conveniently found a bus to be a good hiding place.

Okay, it's not like I haven't been caught in this situation before. I've found myself stranded in buses at the interchange a couple of times, but the big difference was that the previous times the bus driver was still around and I still had an escape route. This time, the bus was totally empty and the doors were closed! No way out for me!!!

I thought I might have to wait for the bus to make its next trip (subsequently scaring the next unassuming passenger who boards the bus) and pretend that it's perfectly normal to find strange girls rotting in empty buses. But luckily, in the bus parked next to mine, there were 2 drivers who were preparing for the next trip or something. So of course, I did the most logical thing - I knocked hard on the rear exit door, trying to get their attention. Aiyoh, SBS buses really have damn good sound proofing. I knocked and knocked and knocked and they bloody cannot hear me!!! @___@ Somemore there were 2 of them! Both of them chatting to each other and not looking my way! Two people who cannot hear nor sense this poor strange girl here stuck in a bus, rapping on the door and waving and trying to get their attention!

I felt kind of idiotic actually. It's a good thing the bus was parked far away from the public eye, else it'll be so embarrassing lah! Or maybe it was just too dark to see that poor me over here was stranded. Then one of the drivers went off, and I was just about to give up when the 2nd driver looked in my general direction! And so I started waving at him and YAY! He saw me!!! Bus driver to the rescue! I think he was kinda shocked that this seemingly normal person managed to get herself locked in a bus. Or maybe surprise that his fellow colleague did not check that the bus was empty before parking! But whatever. I was saved!!!

So I mumbled something unintelligible sounding to him after he opened the door - poor him, he must have thought that he met a nutcase - and with all the dignity I could muster, walked out of the bus parking zone and into freedom! If I had a much thinner hide, I probably would have been completely mortified. I mean, it really is kind of embarrassing. I hope the bus driver who rescued me will not remember my face. Hahaha but in retrospect, it's pretty hilarious! It's not every day that you find yourself in such a situation.

That's my little adventure in an otherwise unexciting Monday! :p

Convocation this Wednesday! Going to be on leave! I think I'm looking forward to being on leave more than graduating. LOL.

Last week was busy, coz we were preparing for our pitch to the Important People. This whole experience was certainly different from all the sai kang that I've been doing. I am still doing sai kang, but for a week, my job scope expanded somewhat. I got to sit in during meetings and brainstorm, see how people's thought processes flow, learn what's expected from the people in our industry... definitely very meaningful and a great learning experience for me. Now that's what I expect work to be like. Not doing boring paperwork but coming together to generate ideas. It's a lot like the numerous projects we had in the uni days.

But then I also missed the predictability and routine of my job. The great thing about admin jobs is that you get to knock off on time, and you don't get stressed over constantly racking your brains to think of ideas, because admin jobs are really brainless most of the time. There are definitely annoying bits to the sai kang that I have to do, but at least it's predictable.

Eh another Saturday just went by without me accomplishing much. :( The weekends are just too short! I think I haven't watched Grey's in a whole week. :( And I am really itching to buy the White Edition. $47.75 on Yesasia! Ugh! *looks sadly at bank account*

I LOVE SHINHWA'S NEW SONG!!!
Composed by Minwoo, lyrics by Hyesung.

Dammit. I now feel a twinge of regret about my decision to not buy the Repackaged White Edition. :( The photobook alone is probably enough to justify buying the album!

At the end of the day, I can always count on my fandom to make me happy again! If only money grew on trees...

I was watching Superband on TV today. There was a group who was soooo out of tune! OMG the first line and he was already super off-key. And he remained off-key for like half the song. Cringe.

Spent my Friday rotting at home, Saturday bustling around + a long-awaited KTV session and slept half of Sunday away! I must admit I am getting old. No stamina liao. I actually dozed off during KTV! DOZED OFF! During the last few songs (think it was 胡思乱想)! I've never dozed off during KTV before. I guess working has a positive effect on my sleep cycle. I must remind myself that I'm not a young spring chick anymore
