I had a pretty awesome long weekend :) In fact, I think March has been pretty good to me. Am going on my second trip this year in just a few hours' time - I have to be at the airport in 3 hours!

So here's another notch up the adrenaline junkie meter - tried kneeboarding (the noob version of wakeboarding) at the Cable Ski facility in East Coast Park on Friday since I was clearing my leave. My arms are still aching slightly from the kneeboarding as I type this, and it's already been 4 days. No joke man. I thought my arms were gonna dislocate from my shoulder because of the very strong tug from the cable when we manouveur a corner LOL. Warning: Very strong arms needed to hold on for dear life.

Also did some baking, had awesome dinners, and yup basically life hasn't been treating me too badly. Parents are away for the week though - so I was also busy being the maid. Haha. Oh well.

Looking forward to chilling in Vietnam with the pals! :) Sometimes it feels good to just escape from this world or from your reality for a while. Throw everything behind and jet off into the unknown. More short trips please!

Noob kneeboarder - couldn't even complete one round of the circuit! haha

Cranberry cornflake cookies - a little crumbly though

This article from Thought Catalog was sitting in my drafts for the longest time. And this seems to be a good time to publish it. I think it's time. I don't feel as angsty as before. I even feel - should I say this - indifferent. And you know what is the opposite of love? It's not hate. It's indifference.
I think the grieving has ended. I don't think I'll ever forget, but I think I can move on now.
"I grieved my first love until there was literally nothing left to grieve. I grieved the shit out of it until it became a fucking embarrassment. “Wait,” I would scream. “Don’t take this away from me just yet! There’s still a little portion I haven’t mourned yet!” I thought that this was just the natural way, this was how you got people out of your system. And it was. It’s that way for your first love and then maybe your second. Then a funny thing happens and everything stops making you wince. You can stop going through this life feeling like a raw nerve, someone who could cry at the slightest provocation and subsequently spend the entire day in bed. This is what they call maturity, I suppose, and in many ways I’m thankful for it. I have to admit though that I’m sad to see time doing its job already. I’m sad to see my first love disappearing because for a long time it was a big part of my identity. I was someone with a broken heart and that’s all I had interest in being. I didn’t want to be recovered and single. Boring. That means I’ve officially been forgotten. I wanted to be the person unraveling at the seams. I wanted to be someone with visible wounds because it showed people that I was someone who Loved and was Fearless and had Experiences. Most importantly, it showed that I was someone worth loving — at least for a little while.

Why this song so sad? :(

Bruno Mars - When I Was Your Man

Same bed, but it feels just a little bit bigger now
Our song on the radio, but it don't sound the same
When our friends talk about you all that it does is just tear me down
Cause my heart breaks a little when I hear your name
And it all just sound like uh, uh, uh

Hmmm too young, too dumb to realize
That I should have bought you flowers and held your hand
Should have gave you all my hours when I had the chance
Take you to every party cause all you wanted to do was dance
Now my baby is dancing, but she's dancing with another man.

My pride, my ego, my needs and my selfish ways
Caused a good strong woman like you to walk out my life
Now I never, never get to clean up the mess I made
And it haunts me every time I close my eyes
It all just sounds like uh, uh, uh, uh

Too young, too dumb to realize
That I should have bought you flowers and held your hand
Should have gave all my hours when I had the chance
Take you to every party cause all you wanted to do was dance
Now my baby is dancing, but she's dancing with another man.

Although it hurts I'll be the first to say that I was wrong
Oh, I know I'm probably much too late
To try and apologize for my mistakes
But I just want you to know
I hope he buys you flowers, I hope he holds your hand
Give you all his hours when he has the chance
Take you to every party cause I remember how much you loved to dance
Do all the things I should have done when I was your man!
Do all the things I should have done when I was your man!

In other news, back from the bitter cold in Shanghai! Aside from the blistering wind and my frozen hands, it was a pretty chillax trip. Ate so much good food! And my face never oils up there! I need to move to a country with that kind of climate AND allows access Facebook and Twitter. Hah. :D
