Why am I the only one facing this problem of being unable to log in?! What is the bloody problem here?!?! I is slightly annoyed.
Attending the F1 night race for the first time ever tomorrow! Very lucky to have balloted successfully for the passes. Let's hope my ears don't get blasted and that I return with my hearing intact!
Guess I can consider this my "do one new thing each year" experience for this year! I still remember eating cup noodles and watching the 2008 Grand Prix in the hotel in Taiwan. Haha. How fast time flies. Eric will be out of the army next month (!) and then soon I will turn 25 (!!) - come to think of it, some people are already married and having kids at 25, settling down into the next phase of their lives. I'm still... here. Somewhere. Dunno doing what.

While watching the 9pm lawyer drama on Channel 8, I spotted a flaw in the development of the script!
The current case is about a husband who has sado-masochism tendencies and he sexually abuses his wife, e.g. whipping, slapping, biting (shudder - the wife should just castrate him but I digress). Hence the battered and traumatized wife is taking the husband the court. The wife is filing for divorce on grounds of him abusing her.
So this is what happens in the middle of the lawsuit:
1. Husband breaks into wife's apartment one night and forces himself on her (or so wife claims).
2. Wife brings this up during court and insists that husband did his SM thing on her again.
3. Husband vehemently insists that he did not, that wife is a mental case, and hey ho, he has an alibi anyway.
4. Husband produces alibi - he checked into a hotel with a pretty young thing on the night in question.
5. Wife goes bonkers in court and executes varying degrees of despair.
6. Everyone is puzzled - who is the liar?
Deng deng deng deng! And here lies the loophole! Everyone is too focused on the whole husband is a SM sex manic/pervert/humsup dirty man issue! If the wife wants to file for divorce, she can file for divorce on terms of infidelity what, why keep harping on the sex abuse when the husband blatantly admitted in court that he was indulging in some hanky panky with his girlfriend?! And he is still legally married! Don't say I never learn anything from this drama, the previous law case said that there must be a damn good reason to file for divorce and infidelity is one of them.
From the looks of it the wife is not going to win if they are fighting the case if the reason is because of the perverted husband's sick fetishes. So why not just change tactic? Turn the tables on him and say OI YOU CHEATED ON ME YOU IDIOT AND YOU ADMITTED THAT IN COURT TOO! Nooo.... instead the scriptwriters conveniently forgot about this very important and logical point. Logic fail.

People just like to make themselves sound so complicated, depressed and down-trodden when in actual fact if you look past all those so-called failures and issues there is actually a lot to be thankful for. Will pitying yourself, oh poor little me, nobody loves me, blah blah blah, make one any happier? Think about it, people do not gravitate towards negativity. Do not blame other intangible factors for your own doing.
And the worst part is that I am slightly annoyed with myself for still caring too much.
Spent a lot of money yesterday! But satisfying retail therapy indeed.
Suddenly I'm faced with a Sunday afternoon with no concrete idea of what to do! I mean besides ironing the clothes... I can't think of what videos to watch. Haha.

The impact of half an hour of soothing, sympathetic words and encouragement pales in comparison to a two hour documentary on Saddam Hussein.
This goes to show that people only react to what they want to hear, so no amount of talking will get your message across if they are just going to tune out.

In other news, been wanting to eat McDonalds Big Breakfast OR a Sausage McMuffin for the past week, but never managed to wake up early enough. Maybe I should attempt to wake up earlier tomorrow and pop by Macs before work. Hmmm.
We ordered fried chicken from Woori Nara during class yesterday. I talked to the owner in Korean! But it was more like, he understood me but I can't understand him. Hahaha. The chicken was yum, especially the one that they call 간정 양념 (I think it's soy garlic flavour). The normal fried chicken was a bit dry though. But overall a satisfying experience.

Colleague passed me a pair of Elva Hsiao concert tickets, so off I went to her concert! The front part was kinda boring, she started off rather wobbly and a little off-key I think, and the crowd only started getting hyped after she went down to the audience. Or maybe it's because I'm not too familiar with her songs. But she did sing all the songs that I know - my Elva repertoire is painfully limited anyway - and my get-high KTV fav 爱的主打歌 was the last encore song heh :) So the latter half of the concert was definitely more high than the first.
One of the few and rare perks of working in my company. Free tickets! :D
And speaking of tickets, we were plagued by ticketing woes for the Korean Pop Night concert. But after much effort from my SNSD crazy friend, I am now officially going to attend the concert on 23 Oct! Hohoho. :) But I hope no more Kpop acts come down to Singapore for the rest of the year. Please stop bringing them in! Give fans a break! Our wallets are getting thinner. :(

Napped for a while just now that's why I'm still up at 4am. Korean Pop Night tickets are going at $258, $218, $168 and $118. Niggling suspicion (actually full-blown suspicion) that people will be camping overnight at the 313 Somerset HMV in order to snag the best seats since tickets don't go on sale through traditional means i.e. Sistic. Sigh, I draw the line at camping overnight. I just hope we can get decent seats. Will ticket sales be as explosive as Jay Chou's concert? :x
Hungry now :( shall go and sleep.
