Lord of the Rings was nice... nicer than I expected. I half expected a boring film with lots of mumbling, but actually it was quite cool... now I wish I had paid more attention to the Fellowship of the Rings when they were playing in during the chalet. Oh the whole world seems to like Legolas... but I think Aragon (how do you spell their names?) has more of the dishevelled hero look... Legolas is too neat, too tidy, too clean. Hair always in place, arrows always on target. No bloodstains, no dirt. Is it an elf thing?
Now I'm just irritated because of the bad communication between the exco memebers... I've only had 3 hours notice before the start of the meeting that will be held in school later today, and I haven't eaten, haven't packed, haven't changed...
Just when I was looking forward to a day home by myself. Shucks.

Which male HP character are you most compatible with?

Going to watch LOTR tomorrow. Hope it's nice, I never really watched The Fellowship of the Rings proper. Hm. Hope I'll understand what's going on!
I'm reading my past archives now. March 2002. The period where posting results were out, Orientation 2, yada yada... oh well I must say things have improved greatly since then. And I can't believe a year has have swooshed past me when everything feels extremely fresh in my mind. Like it happened yesterday. Or a week ago. Or even a month ago. Not like, almost a year ago. Time is such a scary concept.
And as I read, I can remember all the funny feelings that I experienced at that time. The fear, the uncertainty, the apprehensiveness, the tolerance... the feeling that I really didn't fit in. Now I'm quite glad that I'm in this class. There's alot of great people in it. :)
Ah well. And I miss my alma mater more than ever now, when I read other blogs and their beautifully writen words, the message more evident than ever. NJ's becoming routine, I'm used to it already, but SN is a part of me. Always.
Wow... I have been blogging for a year already.
Exactly a year... wow. I actually managed to keep up with blogging, even though there were periods of long absences. Haha.
I wanted to read my archives, but everytime when I try to access Blogger, I'll get fed up with waiting for it to load. It takes ages to load and all my other windows are affected too. Gah. Silly Blogger. Silly computer. That's why I seldom come and post on Blogger. One post takes so much effort to get it published.
Happy Anniversary then, bloggy... :)

I hate popups.
Ugh. They get on my nerves! I swear, the more you click the little 'x' button, the more popups well, pop up. Whoever thought of popups should just go to the 18th level of hell. Especially for Tripod sites. Every page you visit, there's a popup. UGH!
I removed the commenting thingee for a while... If not my blog won't appear lah. Sigh. Complications with HTML. And I finally got round to watching Winter Sonata. It's a sappy, cliche show with a sappy, cliche storyline, but it's oh-so-romantic... the snow and the lovers... ah... -misty look- I'm a sucker for such things.
Annddd... I finally did my Maths HW! Haha accomplishment yeah? But I did like, partial fractions and binomial theorem and gave up. Coz half the questions I did were wrong. And I feel like not doing Physics because I'm quite certain that I'm dropping the horrible subject -- Physics is the bane of my life --I don't see the point of doing. But Mr. Faizal's going to kill me if on the first day I have a Physics tutorial and I turn up with undone work. He's strict with assignments and tutorials. Sigh.
It's already Boxing Day now, so Happy Boxing Day, folks! It's too late for a wishlist and a letter to Mr Santa Claus claiming how good I am this year so can you puh-lease give me my pressies? Ho-hum, maybe for New Year? Haha. But much thanks for the nice nice cards that many sent, it's really very comforting to know that people out there are thinking of you when you least expect it. I feel happy. Ahh. It takes little for me to feel happy. Easily satisfied, I am. :)
Anyway, I spent Christmas rotting at home, waking up waaay after noontime (horrors, I woke up at 3pm! Lazy bum.) eating, watching VCDs, eating again, attempting to do HW, talking on the phone, and now, using the computer. Trs happening, yeah? Well at least I'm going Boxing Day shopping with the gang later today (need to get some sleep soon, else I'll be a walking zombie on the roads of Orchard) as they claim that there's mega gigantic sales going on, with as much as 70% off in certain stores. Hm. Sounds too good to be true, but ah, heck. Just go tottering down the streets of Orchard for the fun of it.
Enjoy the Christmassy layout! :)

Went to get my hair trimmed today, and very horrifyingly, I was persuaded (or rather, forced) to get my eyebrows trimmed too. Eek! Eyebrows! I don't even have much of an eyebrow to begin with, and yet you want to trim it somemore?! A few strokes of the sharp razor blade later, my eyebrows are ruined -- they are reduced to some kind of arched thin line and I look like a weird freak. Or those type of people who goes to trim their eyebrows for the sake of vanity. My mom says I look neater. Huh? Neat isn't exactly the word I'll use to describe it. How about, terrible, horrifying, ugly, and distorted?
My brows are ruined! -moans-
The holiday HW syndrome again. Sigh. Have to watch Winter Sonata VCD too... kind friend lent it to me a week ago and I haven't started on it. I'm gonna be busy for the rest of the week. Sigh.

Lastly, Merry Christmas to one and all! :)

My mother is puking like nobody's business in the bathroom now.
It was so loud that I thought she switched on the TV.
I feel a little helpless, you know? It's like, my mother is sick and all I can do, as her daughter, is to sit here in front of the computer and blog about it. What can I do? Pat her on the back as she pukes her food out? Say comforting things to her? Usually it's she who takes care of me, not vice versa. I never know what to do when she's sick. I feel like a bad daughter. I can't even make her feel better, because we were never very close. I'll feel weird if I give her a hug or something. The only time I remember actually helping her to relief her pain was to massage her temples for her when she had a terrible headache. I had to sit in a real awkard position and my back ached like crazy. But of course I didn't complain. I couldn't. How could I, after the many things that she did in order to raise me to what I am today?
Sometimes I may feel very pissed with my mother and wished that she wasn't my mother, but I guess she still is my mother, and I love her in a weird way. It's a love-hate thing, I guess.
Watched Treasure Planet today. It's quite nice. Excluding the fact that I got to watch it for free. Hah! $8.50 ticket for free!
Have to slog it out for Ultra Marathon CIP tomorrow. I have to wake up at like, 6am but I'm still awake now? I'll probably fall asleep while standing tomorrow.
And the retest! Don't get me started. I haven't studied a single bloody thing ever since the hols started. I mean it. I'm not the type who says that "oh I haven't done anything yet, lah" when in actual fact the holiday homework is 90% finished type of person. I say I did nothing, I mean I did nothing. Zilch. Nada. Zero.
Why must all the activities come in a snowball during such a busy and hectic week? Treasure Planet today, CIP whole day tomorrow, Chalet on Monday and Tuesday, and that leaves me with what? Only Wednesday to cram Physics and Chem into my brain. That is so not going to work out. I know it won't. I'll have to drop Physics next year. Sigh. My fun side gets to the better of me, and I'll only have myself to blame.
Oh and on a side note: This layout is temporary. The previous one was disasterous and every time I wanted to make ammends Blogger wouldn't let me edit it. Gah.

Gosh look at the time now! I haven't eaten my dinner. But -- solving this great FTP mystery has made me feel a great sense of achievement. Heh.
Last week, at this time, I was trekking in the dark. Pitching bashas in the dark. *shudder* Walking in the dark forest is not my idea of fun.
Off to cook my dinner! :)

Remember the new URL! :)

i. Just did some blog surfing. Realized alot of SN girls have blogs online. Unfortunately none of them I know personally. Found some blogs that I used to read.
ii. Haven't done any online tests for some time, any good ones to take?
iii. I really really need to start studying for my re-test, you know?
iv. I lack determination. Damn.
v. It's really too sian for me to really study hard! Argh!
vi. It's late. As usual.
vii. Shall make a new layout soon. This one is really screwed up. But first I need to find a good server and... anyone willing to host me?
viii. You know what? Time really flies. I just realized the swiftness of time as it swooshes by.
ix. Shall get one of those comment thingees soon.
x. I kinda miss OBS. Sigh.
OBS was... an experience. One that I would never be able to go through again. I didn't think that I could last through the whole 5 days -- you may think, what's 5 days compared to the 9 day camp? -- but I did. I never was an outdoor-sy, atheletic type who could run, jump, climb, swim and what-have-yous effortlessly. All the interaction between people, all the group sharing sessions, all the getting dirty, terrible terrible physical activities -- I thought I won't be able to tahan for 5 days. All these and more, which was all that OBS had to offer. Nevertheless, I tried, and that was enough.
I must have been potraying this self-image that I'm weak. Weak in what sense? Physically? Mentally? I beg to differ. Believe me, if I didn't even have the basic physical capability to go for OBS, I wouldn't even dare to try for it. Don't dismiss all girls as weaklings. Girls may be of the weaker sex but hey, maybe they can teach you things that you didn't even know! I can take good care of myself, thank you very much. I may not run as fast, may not kayak as quickly as others, may not be as adept in climbing, may not be strong enough, may not be experienced enough, but I have determination and perserverance. I will get through this course, no matter what.
Through these 5 days oftorture learning, I learnt lots. Realized that I have a lot more in me, things that I never knew I had, things that I never knew I could do. I learnt more about teamwork, and interpersonal releationships, and these 5 days really tested my determination and perserverance, and I really pushed myself to the limit. Textbook answers, it may seem, but that is really what OBS could teach you.
In a nutshell:

Well, hello again. :)
The past week has consists mainly of lectures early in the morning *yawn* and CIP at the Bukit Timah Salvation Army. Now that was quite an expericence. But I barely have enough hours. Need to do more CIP.
Oh yes! and I watched Harry Potter yesterday. Hee. It was a good movie, but I think lots of scenes and dialouge are missing? Hm. Can't remember. I don't own any HP books. Still prefer the book. I shall borrow the book from my friend and re-read again for the millionth time? Haha.
Tomorrow I'm setting off for OBS! Yes... my week of torture is just about to begin. Hope I'll return with enough life in me to blog again. Hee.
See ya in a week, dear readers! :)

Part I and Part II of my birthday. And here's what you call it? The Epilouge. Don't think I spelt that correctly. But the epilouge isn't very related to the day itself, but what the heck. It's just an entry about my *ahem* fascinating life.
I'm think I'm too free. Keeping up with two online journals takes up a lot of time. Hm. But... it's the holidays now, so I reckon I'll have more time to tidy up this blog? And keep my other one surviving? Haha.
Woah it's late. Gotta go sleep. Physics lecture tomorrow at 0930h!
I wonder why I publicize my life for all to see. Free show, eh? Wonder who reads my blog.

Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 is blasting on my speakers now.
Oh yeah and I'm slow, but I'm now 17! Been 17 for 4 days now. And my birthday was really a most memorable one. Love all my friends. :) I feel happy and loved.
Shall post an entry on my birthday in TOD. Will put up the link when I've finished. Now I feel like doing 1001 things and I don't have time to finish them. Even though today's a public holiday.
Okie, quizes!

I feel so happy at times, so lonely at times, so included at times, so left out at times.
I wonder what people think of me. What image do I potray? Happy and cheerful? Cold and solemn? Quiet and shy? Loud and noisy? Hah, believe it or not, I've shown all these character traits some time or another this year. Sad as it may seem, people's impressions and opinions of me do matter, although I try not to care. Maybe it's just this I-don't-really-care mentality that enabled me to survive almost a whole year in a sort of "new" environment. OK, NJ's not that "new" to me anymore. But I don't really like changes. I like stability in my life. One that I can know what to expect.
I get satisfied easily, I realize. As long as nothing is going wrong, as long as I can smile and laugh each day, as long as I can make people laugh and that people don't hate me or think badly of me, I'll feel happy and blissful. Friends can really brighten up an otherwise boring and mundane school day.
Was chatting to two of my classmates over ice cream on Wednesday, and I realize that the bunch in our class actually aren't that bad. They're actually nice individuals. Well, save for a few. And I made a few realizations too. Things aren't what they really seem.
Anyway, on Friday Mr Low told the class that had the greatest improvement in Maths. :) Came as a surprise to me, and I'm still rather suspicious as whether I deserve that honour and the prize that comes along with it. Because as far as I know, I haven't really made any improvement in Maths. Huh.
Mr Low's not going to follow us up to year 2. We'll miss him. He's a very nice teacher, actually. Very patient.
Our whole class can get promoted. And yes, 6 memebers of our class are qualified to take S papers. And I predict that a few more are appealing to take too. No S papers for me, no thanks. I know that I can't make it. And I don't want to overtax myself by trying to accomplish something that I won't be able to do. I'm just glad that I can get promoted, even though I have to go for a retest in December to determine whether I can carry on taking 4 subjects. As I said, I get satisfied easily. zhi1 zu2 chang2 le4 (Rough translation: know your limits and you'll be happy.) I used to say this to all my friends who complain about their "lousy" grades when they so obviously did much better than me.

I've decided that I need to find some quizes to do. Haven't done one for quite some time.
Ugh! I think the new layout looks terrible because of several important but unfortunately missing elements. It was supposed to look good! Stupid Geocites. And Tripod. And all those servers who don't want to let me link my image files from their server. Gah! Shall leave it as it is until I find one nice webhosting service.
I don't feel like doing my powerpoint presentation. I'm time-a-wastin'... lalalala...

Yay got the archives fixed. And I need to find a good web hosting service... I've applied to be hosted under someone's domain, and she's agreed to it, but she hasn't sent me an email bearing details... we'll see how that works out.
Printing lots of stuff now. Talentime 2003 proposal, the budget, performance guidelines, the judging criteria... and my project's dry run for the oral presentation is this Wednesday! -gasp- I haven't done anything about the my powerpoint presentation yet! Must make this a good job. Coz I think our report's already quite screwed up. Guess I'll have to sacrifice some sleep today. Sigh! Woe betide the lives of students...

It was supposed to be a nice new layout, but my image files won't load. So I tried storing them in tripod instead of geocities and now it's even worse. Gah. Pardon the broken images seen everywhere. I need some time to find a suitable host and fix it.
And I was suddenly (and unpleasantly) reminded that our project work report is due tomorrow morning and there's alot of things that we've apparantly forgot to do. Panic time. Oh well. At the most I'll just skip Physics lecture tomorrow if there's a need for it.
Project work sucks. Gah.

I realized that I haven't mentioned anything about my results yet.
Anyway, it was a slight improvement from my common test. In the common test, I got COFF and B3 for GP. For the promos, I got DEO0 and a B4 for GP. Look, no Fs! And I had at least an AO pass for all my subjects. Overall, which incldes 75% Promos, 20% CT and 5% Assignments, my grades remain at DEOO, although most of them are either on the dot or rounded up to the next grade. And yay! I will get promoted and I won't need to do project work next year. I passed the criteria for promotion! (which is 1 A level pass and 2 AO level passes.)
Anyway, my Maths dropped by 1 mark. From a boderline C (55) in CT to a D (54) in Promos. Shoots. Overall it's a D, coz they took my worst test and quiz for the assignment grade. Econs was a very lucky pass, I got 44.5 or something for overall and it was rounded up to an E grade. Chem - O7 (39.5) and Physics O8 (34.5, rounded up) for overall. Quite disaterous grades. But nevermind, as long as I get promoted. :) I must say that I'm very lucky this time, I just scrapped through my exams, but barely. Have to work hard now. There may be a retest for Physics and Chemistry. :(
Oh no the internet connection is not moving AGAIN. Argh. Stupid dial-up connection. Wish i had broadband.
Anyway, it was a slight improvement from my common test. In the common test, I got COFF and B3 for GP. For the promos, I got DEO0 and a B4 for GP. Look, no Fs! And I had at least an AO pass for all my subjects. Ooh the net's real slow today. Took me ages just to load blogger properly.
Was in a foul mood in the morning. I sent about 10 msgs in CAPS to my poor dear friend ranting about how stupid it is that I'm expected to play the role of a big, good and nice sister and all those ungratefuls at home take me for granted. And my baby sister is a big spoilt brat. How irritating.
Now I've cooled down somewhat. Slacking online, as usual. Here's the extremely late Friday Five, done out of boredom. Or maybe it should be called Sunday Five? Haha. But then again, who cares?
1. How many TVs do you have in your home?
Only one pathetic one in the living room. Because of that, I'm forced to watch Hi-5 VCDs sometimes.
2. On average, how much TV do you watch in a week?
Since the exams are over now, I watch a bit more TV. Have lotsa VCDs to watch. And on weekdays, the 9pm show. On weekends... well, nothing interesting to watch.
3. Do you feel that television is bad for young children?
Not really. My baby sister has learnt how to sing and dance by watching Barney and Hi-5 VCDs. And she can sing the theme songs of drama serials. She can even recite the dialouge of those Barney VCDs that she watches. Ugh. You can see that I have an overdose of kiddy shows at home.
4. What TV shows do you absolutely HAVE to watch, and if you miss them, you're heartbroken?
Hm. Last time it used to be those interesting Hong Kong drama serials. And oh yes! Meteor Garden. Bwhaha.
5. If you had the power to create your own television network, what would your line-up look like?
Interesting drama serials. Haha. From Taiwan and Hong Kong. And maybe certain local productions. And certain variety shows. I watch alot of Channel 8. Bwhaha.

Some very outdated entries that weren't posted because of my dangerously unstable computer.

I think my group's project work will be the worst in my whole class. Being stuck with 3slacker guys that either 1) does everything himself without distributing the workload, 2) slacks and only thinks about his tummy the whole day, 3) ok the third guy isn't that bad. But we simply have nothing in common to talk about because yes, you guessed it, he's from SJI.
Ok I guess that was quite a biased view. And I don't know who on earth reads my blog so I shan't say anymore. You never know what's going to happen. Walls have ears. Hedges have eyes. But really, the quality of our project is... quite bad. I could have done it better. You should see our bibliography. Ugh. Or maybe I just want things done my way? As we know, guys can't really be bothered with neatness and stuff. Or that's what I think. Immature thought maybe? But who cares.
Shouldn't divulge too much info. Just heard about a case of betrayal over the net today, via online journals. Oh wells. Life's that sad.
9pm now, gonna go watch TV! :)
Oh and a side note, though out of point it may be, I changed my nice, trusty purple phone to a flashy, silver and smaller phone. But the battery's real lousy (it was my uncle's former phone) and the stupid phone died on me today. Ugh.
ok enough complaining. tata~

Devouring Marks and Spencer's choc chip cookies. Yummy, but it's bad news for my weight.
Drinking milk now. More calcium to help me grow! Bwhaha.
I think I eat too much. I just ate yummy chilli crab cup noodles barely 2 hours ago. Sheesh. Nevermind, eat now, worry later. I just can't resist those wonderful late night snacks. Temptation, lah. Although I've heard that late suppers aren't healthy (or something to that effect).
Exercise shall come later. In the form of PE. And if I have any discipline.
Anyway, I went shopping with my sis today! Haha. Bought quite a fair bit of stuff. How nice. :) Shall buy more stuff next time... that is, if I have any cash to spare. Feeling quite broke now. $_$ $_$ $_$
Oh wow, I'm at the 19th Jay Chou song already. That's fast. Heh. RealJukebox's playing in alphabetical order.

It's been ages since I last blogged.
Hey, it isn't my fault... whenever I want to blog, either 1) My computer screws up, or 2) Blogger screws up. Yes, so as you can see, it isn't really my fault. Mwhaha.
Wanted to go swimming (I ballooned by 4kg, it's time to exercise) but was just too lazy to drag myself out of the house. No good. How? I'll just die for OBS, which will commence on the 16th of next month. I hereby resolve to start training for OBS, coz it's an extremely physical course and I don't possess any of the physical genes. Start swimming, start jogging, start cycling... maybe I can shed those kilos that I piled on to myself. Bwhahaha.
It was Open House yesterday, performed the same songs 3 times and I'm quite bored with it now. Played till my left pinkie showed signs of a blister forming... shows that I don't really practice. If I practice frequently, I'll just get tougher skin on my finger tips, rather than blisters. Met a few juniors, dragged them over to our booth and cajoled them to sign up. Chatted with one of them for a while and got to know what's happening back in SN. Anyway, I kinda miss taking cello lessons. :( My cello playing techniques has deteriorated so badly that if my teacher saw how I played, she would scream. Yes and only 8 potential candidates signed up. Ugh. This is bad news. Very bad news. You know why? Because the minimum number of people needed to join SYF is 18. We have 9 year ones this year. To join SYF, we need to double our size my next year. We have quality, but not the quantity. If not, poof, SYF byebye.
There's alot of CCA stuff for us to do now... the business of getting more new members, the camp, the business of the new conductor, Talentime 2003, our new String Orch room, SYF 2003... sheesh, I never knew being in the SO exco could be so busy. Always had the impression that our senior Exco were quite slack, well maybe except during Talentime. I suppose if we want to accomplish alot of things, we have to work harder. I want us to be the batch to lay the foundation for the future generations of String Orch. I believe that's the wish of every one of us. (And it was my CCA teacher in charge who nominated me for OBS. I was actually a reserve, but 5 people dropped out from the original 60 so I had to take their place.)
Oh and some shameless advertising here -- do visit the String Orchestra webpage! It's done by yours truly... looks a bit plain and content wise, it isn't really complete... but whatever, just take a look! URL: http://www.geocities.com/njcso
Glad that we managed to meet Regina yesterday, even if it was only for awhile. :)
Me and my friend went to the Esplanade for a brief moment yesterday. It was so hot, humid and squeezy... I'm glad I didn't stay for long, because when I was on the bus on my way home the crowd looked even worse. But we stayed long enough to see the fireworks lighting up the sky at 8.40 ++ pm. In my opinion, there's nothing interesting about the opening ceremony, except for the fireworks.
And as for my results... well, thats another thing altogether. Another topic for another day. Haha.

Phew. For a while I thought that my previous post wasn't saved. When I hit the "Post & Publish" button Internet Explorer decided to crash with an "Illegal Operation". Gah.
My mother is back. She just nagged at me to bathe. Sigh.
Decided to do my first Friday Five. I got the questions from here.
1. Would you say that you're good at keeping in touch with people?
Not too bad, I would say. I do send the occasional Christmas, CNY and birthday cards to my Primary school friends, whom I haven't seen in eons. But most unfortunately, I haven't kept in touch with my cello and piano teacher, and my tuition teacher from last year.
2. Which communication method do you usually prefer/use: e-mail, telephone, snail mail, blog comments, or meeting in person? Why?
E-mail, blog comments and snail-mail. All these require non-physical contact... I'm not exactly a very social person. Oh yes, and SMS too.
3. Do you have an instant messenger program? How many? Why/why not? How often do you use it?
I have ICQ... I've never talked to half the people on my list, though I know them all personally... I'll only talk to good friends on ICQ... and my ICQ will always show that I'm online whenever I'm using the computer.
4. Do most of your close friends live nearby or far away?
Well, I live in a really out-of-the-way area. So what do you think? One thing that really pisses me is that no one is willing to travel the extra distance to come to my area, even though I never complain whenever they want to meet in more convenient places (for them) like Orchard. So what's wrong when I request that they come over to Compass Point or something? Can't there be a little give and take?
OK nevermind, I doubt you'll understand what I'm grumbling about.
5. Are you an "out of sight, out of mind" person, or do you believe that "distance makes the heart grow fonder"?
I would say "distance makes the heart grow fonder". Yeah.

Nice... I like Lilo. She's so cute! Haha...
Oh yah I watched Lilo and Stich in the Sept holidays... it was a nice movie... very touching... aw... but it was funny at times too... I think Lilo's very cute. Yeah... she's so small and adorable! :)

What sea creature are you?
Had another 4 hours of Physics tuition today, and made a wasted trip down to Popular trying to look for Chemistry TYS. Gah. Been searching for the TYS for very long. Whenever I see it, I don't have money to buy it. Whenever I bring money, it's out of stock. -_-
Maths is the first paper! (Actually GP starts this Saturday, but I have no clue on how to study for GP) So I shall practice and practice and practice my maths. I need to pass maths. I need to. Must pyscho myself.
OK I must also bear in mind that I cannot neglect Chem and Econs too... been focusing largely on Maths and Physics these days. Sigh! Can't wait for the promos to be over. After that it'll be Open Day, and I predict that we'll be very busy with CCA stuff.
Oh well. Till the next post, tata~
Hey! Guess what. For once, I'm actually home before 6pm, instead of reaching home at the usual 6.30pm ++. Wow!!!!! I must record it down. Haha.
Maths make-up lecture ended at 3pm today, so I could reach home at the wonderful hour of 4.30pm... :) Hence I decided to make use of this opportunity to come online. For a while. (Homework and revision's nagging at me at the back of my head)
People in school have been studying and studying and they suddenly seem so much more knowledgable than me. Oops. I don't even have time to start on my revision of past topics.
Shall go now... better not waste any more time. Promos in just a mere 9 more days! Gasp! Freaky.
Some test results:

If I were in a movie, I'd be an extra!

Tsk. How noisy.
My youngest sis just pierced her ears today. (She's only 4 years old) And now she's wailing and screaming because my mother is trying to apply something to her ears. And what a din they're making. Gr.

Wrote this whole entry like, one whole week ago. Yeah, so some stuff may be outdated but this is after all, my blog and I choose to post it.

Wanted to blog earlier but my computer is being evil. -_-
Anyway, Compass Point has opened! So now I've got a place to go to when I'm feeling bored. The libaray will be opening soon, I hope. And I shall stuff myself with BreadTalk's pork floss bun at every available opportunity, haha :)
I have Econs essay to hand up on Monday, and I really really need to start doing my tutorials instead of just going to school and copying whatever the teacher says. Especially for Maths. If this goes on my only passing subject will become a failing one. It's a bad habit. But whenever I stare at my tutorial my mind goes blank and I don't even know how to start doing the question, much less try and complete my tutorials. How? I feel like such a failure at times.
I will still be blogging, but much lesser and not so frequently. Time flies. It's already going to be the last week of Term 3. What have I achieved for the past 3 terms? They say JC life passes by very quickly. I think so too. Wish I was in Secondary school again, with all my good friends, crapping, laughing, lunching together, having lessons together... sigh...
Shall blog abit about recent happenings.
16th Aug Fri: Went to celebrate birthdays for Tsin Shwen, Yuan Shan, Adelene and Angie. But most unfortunately Angie couldn't make it coz her grandma passed away.
Well it was quite fun, we went to Toa Payoh to eat Sakae and we lured them to Delifrance where two others were "ambushed" there, with the relighting candles and cake prepared... took pictures, sat around, talked and laughed... sometimes I really cherish moments like this, where all my good friends are together, without a worry in the world... well, until a call came for Shuhui that brought bad news. The mood was instantly killed, so we all prepared to go home and consoled her on the way home.
17th Aug Sat: Went to school for SAT lecture, stayed back for the CCA board, went home, dozed off for a while and then went to the Esplanade for a trial test performance by the People's Association Chinese Youth Orchestra... the Esplanade looks nice, the concert hall is quite big, reminded me of the theatre at UCC for some reason, and there's alot of chambers... for the acoustics I guess. Negative points: The reception is bad and the space between rows are too close, if your seat is right smack in the middle then you'll have to squeeze your way through people's knees.
18th Aug Sun: Went to Jurong for maternal grandfather's birthday. It was boring. I'm not very close to that side of the family and neither am I close to my cousins, whose ages range from adult (married with kids) to babies (about 1 yr plus?). Diverse family I have. And because my sister the lucky pig gets to stay at home (using studying for tests as an excuse) I have no one to talk to there and was stoning and rotting for like 4 hours?! What a waste of time, in my opinion. Sorry if I seem rather mean and unconcerned about my family, but that's really the truth. And when I got home I had to rush through my homework because the weekend has been ultra busy for me. Sigh.
Today I had to go back to school again. Why? Because I had to help out with the CCA board. The vice-president actually came up with this totally crazy idea of sawing off the scroll of a violin. So armed with a blunt saw and an unwanted violin, we spent about 2 hours trying to saw and saw and saw and getting all hot and bothered, and with a few lame jokes cracked in between. Well it was a fun experience, at least now we know that we should never attempt to saw off a violin scroll ever again.
I had a rather bad sore throat for the past few days, my throat will hurt like crazy when I swallow or when I sneeze... ow... but luckily now I've recovered... I was thinking that I may need to get my tonsils removed or something... :p
Well on a side note: Things with HX now are rather neutral, I don't talk much to her, although we do come in close contact. I think she can still sense this feeling from the blatantly obvious body language of mine that I've given her for the first few weeks of term 2... Guess now everybody's happy and we've all mixed well in the class. Even the SJI guys are not that unbearable now. Life in school and in CCA's not bad, in fact, I would say that I'm rather satisfied with things. The only thing is that my not-too-brilliant results sticks out like a protruding thorn... sigh... I wouldn't dare to describe myself as happy, I don't know what defines real happiness and I'm afraid that if I feel happy, it'll all come to an end soon coz it wouldn't last.
When I went for my maternal grandfather's birthday celebration, my third aunt made such a big hoohaa over me being in NJC. And you know relatives, they will always subtract away at least one year of your education. For example, if you are in Sec 4 they will think that you are in Sec 3 or Sec 2, until you tell them that you are in Sec 4, then they'll go "Wah! So fast ah! Sec 4 already, so O levels this year issit?" -_- So my aunt thought that I was still in Sec 4, and when I told her that I was in J1 and studying in NJ she was making such a big fuss over nothing and was saying that I must be very smart to be able to get into a JC, and into such a "prestigious" one somemore, and yada yada yada. And by getting into a JC, I will go on to a university and probably be the next cousin that gets a degree. And she looked so impressed when I told her that I didn't have tuition. Really, this is so overrated. She doesn't even know the other half of the story. The fact that I'm failing almost all my classes. The fact that my O level results aren't really that great. The fact that I'm having such a hard time coping with my school work and there's a high probability that I'm going to get retained. What do they know? They don't even know anything.
Everything's a lie. It's just the surface. It's so superficial, it's like a mask, shielding everything from reality and not knowing how ardous the process is. In the end, the end result really does matter huh? Because people will use that to judge you, without knowing what the truth is.

Listening to my MP3s in alphabetical order now.
The more I look at my webapge, the more I think the red colour is extremely glaring to the eyes. And since National Day is way over, the red-and-white theme doesn't really fit. So in order to make my page more pleasing to the eyes, I will try my best to come up with a new layout before I leave for Genting on Monday.
Yep, three days of my short one week break will be spent in Genting Highlands. I haven't gone on a holiday with my family ever since Sec 2. I suspect that I may be too old for all the kiddy rides and I think I'm too un-adventurous for all the roller coasters, so I'm wondering what I'm going to do there. Bringing school work to do is a choice, but to spend money to study when you are on a holiday when you can always study for free at home? Nah, I think not.
And after numerous phone calls and negotiating, I've finally found a tutor who hopefully can help me in my Physics. Things are desperate. I need to pull up my grades. I need to get 2 A level passes and 2 AO level passes, the minimum being 1 A and 2 AO passes. I barely scraped through for my common tests. If I'm repeating my 1st year in Junior College again I might as well have gone to a Polytechnic.
Can't seem to type properly, weeks of non-practice has caused my fingers to feel unfamiliar on the keyboard and my knuckles are aching. Wait, since when do we use knuckles to type? Hm.
Oh well, since I'm already typing quite a bit, I might as well type a little bit more.
Yesterday was the teachers' day celebration. Had a picnic cum concert thing in school, saw Daniel Wong in The Chinese High School's uniform (that bit was really funny) as he pranced around on stage singing "Sew, a needle pulling thread", and the school witnessed Wen lao shi's beautiful singing. Only flaw is that her male singing partner couldn't really match up to her singing standards. After that, I met a couple of friends and we went back to St Nicks. Saw a lot of teachers, saw a lot of friends too. For a while, I really missed the times back then. Had weird feelings that I couldn't really place. Since I didn't to go home, I hung around for a while, then went to Compass Point with 2 of my friends to walk around.
At about 5.30 I caught the shuttle bus back to AMK MRT and then went down to Orchard. Met my class for class outing, which was dinner at Sizzler's. Hm. Food wasn't that bad, but I wasn't exactly hungry to begin with, so I couldn't really enjoy my food. But the food was quite expensive. And our class was seated at different tables because they didn't have a big enough table that could accomodate all of us. Well a few of them were not very happy due to different reasons, seems to me that someone in class has gotten a little too unbearable. Hm. It wasn't really a very nice class outing, because we weren't really together as a class in the first place. At about 9pm, 5 of us left the place and walked around Wisma before going home. I overslept on the bus again and ended up in the interchange, wasting about half an hour of my time.
Idols have made me a bit crazy. I'm wasting my SMS. Parentals not too happy with my handphone bill. Sigh.

You know what. Everytime I try to post something Blogger will refuse to cooperate and that makes me very very pissed. Either the page refuses to load, or loads too slowly, or I'll get some stupid message that says "Bad Gateway" or "This page cannot be found" or something to that extent. Hurmph. Talk about stiffling my thoughts.
The last time I tried to blog something was about one week ago.
Luckily I saved my post, or I'll really be very pissed off. Ugh. Blogging is one of the good things created in the internet, but can they please practice Quality Control or something. Or maybe it's just my computer huh.
'tis late, life has been so-so, and well, I don't really feel like describing my week at the moment.
Thinking about the promos has all the more assured me that I'll get retained.

Hello! I'm back after a long absence from blogging. In fact, I've been missing from the internet for like almost two weeks!? Gasp!!! I wonder how I lived without the computer. Great feat. At least it shows that I have more self-restrain.
Feeling a bit tired now, I think I shall go sleep early for once (yes, sleeping at 1am in the morning is considered early to me). And throughout the week or so, everytime I met with a situation or incident, I would immediately want to blog about it. Unfortunately, I don't have access to the computer and when I finally do have access, something would crop up (egs: computer hang, phone line disconnected etc) On thursday I was so pissed because I finally could come online, but 2 mins after connecting online someone called and disconnected me. ARGH!!! So irritating. Hm.
Never mind, I will blog more tomorrow if I manage to get to use the computer without my mother breathing down my neck on how I should study, study and study... my train of thought is jumbled up and I'm too tired to string them together... ZZZZZzZZZZ...
OK bye for now... :)

I'm broke.
I'm heavily in debt.
Let me list out my debts:
- owes Adelene $8.50 for Minority Report ticket
- owes Melissa $12 for SYO concert
- owes Gillian alot of money, amounting to about $20, for miscellaneous stuff.
- am supposed to go for dinner next Friday to celebrate birthdays for 4 people. Which will mean, spending more money. >_<
And I've already "eaten" into my pocket money for the next week...
Guess my weakness is that I can't resist temptation, as Gillian has so kindly put it. OK. I shall lock myself up and try not to spend so much money. I must scrimp and save!!! I will try my best to pay off my debts before, er, let's say CNY next year?
---
Today I went to Compass Point, the new shopping mall that has just opened in Sengkang. It's quite big, was on my feet the whole day till my back ached. There's a library, but it's only going to be open during the later part of the year, I think. We spent half our time in Metro, and my stingy mother actually bought stuff for us amounting up to almost $100. Haha. Must be because of the 20% discount factor. I knew she wasn't that nice.
Yay, the song that I've been trying to download for eons has finally completed downloading.
And I have not accomplished anything constructive this weekend. Damn.
I need to get motivated! What on earth is wrong with me!!!! *conks myself on head*
Sheesh. I wish I could drop Physics, Chemistry and Econs.
Wen lao shi actually said "wo3 wei4 ni3 dan1 xin" when she handed me my (horrendous) progress report. I do agree. My results are worrying. I wonder what my mother and my teachers were conferencing about last Saturday during meet-the-parents session. I hate these meet-the-parents session. Ever since Sec 1 when apparantly my mother told my form teacher that I was austic or however you spell that. That is such an invasion of privacy. I refuse to attend such sessions unless absolutely unnecessary. It's awkward. It's silly.
And I shouldn't waste my time typing nonsensical ramblings here.
Bye bye~

Yeah, more online tests. >_<

Which character from Lilo & Stitch are you?

What dessert are you?
I'm a day late, but Happy 37th Birthday Singapore! :)
Was watching the NDP on TV, funny, it seems that only on National Day that I would feel all patriotic. Still could remember in Sec 2 I had a cello lesson on National Day, and after that I saw my cello teacher playing with the SSO in the NDP on TV. And last year I missed watching the NDP live on TV because I had tuition. -_-
I still think the atmosphere at the stadium is the best. Ah wells.

Weird. Now that I've changed the template for my previous blog the words don't blend and jumble up together now. Every word is distinct. Clear. Urgh.
I don't care. I shall convert back to my old blog when I have the time to do so. Hardly have time nowadays to use the computer, and with the glorious weekend ahead, I hope I won't waste my time yet again doing nothing, slacking and sitting in front of the computer at every possible moment.

Hello
I've started a new one since the old blog looks extremely messed up. And I'm just too lazy to go and hunt for the cause of trouble in all those goobledonky confusing HTML coding.
Feels a bit sad, yes? After all, the old blog has been with me for the past half a year and more, ever since the end of December 2001... that's quite a long time. All the nonsensical ramblings stored inside... well all the same, the old blog will still be around, and will still be at http://spooked.blogspot.com. All my archives will (hopefully) be still stored there. And even the URL doesn't look right. http://hurmph.blogspot.com doesn't have the same feel as http://spooked.blogspot.com. Hm. And my blog looks extremely empty. Too empty. Will polish it up when I have the time.
Oh never mind.
So it's national day tomorrow, and hence my red and white theme. -grin- Today's celebration was probably the biggest event that would occur in NJC, well, because we are National Junior College celebrating National Day. And all that talk about Stefanie Sun coming to our school was all a hoax. As for MediaCorp coming to film us, I suppose they did, but I didn't take any notice. I just hope I won't appear on National TV blowing my nose or something, because I know I was blowing my nose when there was a cameraman nearby. -_- And it would be so unsightly. Especially with my recent pimple outbreak, it probably won't look a nice sight on TV.
Over the weekend, I hope that I'm able to accomplish something. I need to work on the NJC String Orchestra webpage, for starters. And I need to do something about my horrendous school work. Makes me wonder whether I should have gone on to JC in the first place. Sigh.
Bye bye, and have a very happy National Day! It's a long awaited break, at least for me. :)

Noe what? XR has really changed alot... I just learned today that she has a stead! From the gentle girl she was four years ago, she has now turned into a boisterous "auntie"... eeee... to think that we were rather on good terms in Sec 1... and I found a card or two that she gave me way back then. Anyway, I heard that she got 19 pts... sigh, she's really an intelligent girl, but what a waste that she neglected her studies.*frowns* who am I to reprimand her? I'm guilty of that too.11.44 PM! If I don't sleep soon, I'm not going to be able to get my butt off my comfy bed tomorrow. Dang. I was still thinking whether I could go and play Sims for a while.School starts tomorrow! Off to NJC in St Nick's school uniform, setting off to school in a new bus, a new route, a new school... dang.
I talked to Lilian today. I got a pleasant surprise when she identified herself. At first I couldn't even recognize her voice! Anyway, we talked about school stuff... she's going to go NY, and some of 6AA's ppl are going to VJ... quite a number, I think. A few going to HC and RJ too... damn it... everyone's so bloody smart. And looks like no one's going to NJ with moi... And I talked to Ms Tay today too. Dang, I kinda miss all our tuition lessons. She's a really good teacher. I almost weeped on our last lesson. Anyway, she's the one to talk to if you need any advice. Try getting advice from one of my parents. My pretending-to-be-a-smartass mother would talk about all sorts of rubbish and not realize that whatever she says doesn't apply to the current situation. @_@ I guess I'm taking Maths C, Econs, Physics and Chemistry then. Dang. Lilian said that NJC always fails people for their tests... :( And I'm gonna miss St. Nicks too. *cries* It has, after all, grown on me and to say that I do not feel attached to it would be lying. But strangely, I didn't feel saddened during Grad. I just felt, normal. St. Nicks's a really great place, though at times I feel quite exasperated with it for all their silly rules (whoever thought of the one that we must sew our belt behind anyway?) and the numerous Project Fairs, but I had some happy times in it. I'm gonna miss my friends lots. As for the teachers... yah, some maybe. I'm gonna miss my class... their corniness... everything.Oh well, it's time to leave the past behind and move on to the present.
I love the little imood face... the one with no mouth, so cute! The others don't look that nice anyway... :)Listening>> Wo shi zhen de zhen de hen ai ni by one of the F4 guys, I don't know which.Off to drink milk! I just ate half a can of potato chips, if I don't drink lots of water, my tongue is gonna feel sore again, and I absolutely hate that. Happy 2002! :)
