We Got Married is officially my favourite variety show now.
LOVES IT! <333
*makes happy squealing noises*
The weather is schizophrenic, I say.
Hot and humid one minute, cool and rainy the other.
Well at least tonight it'll be a nice night to sleep. I probably won't want to wake up to go to work tomorrow. Haha!
My life is so boring, I think the weather is more interesting to talk about. :(
Oh yes. I had a very interesting dream last night. The Shinhwa members guest-starred in my dream. There were many many fangirls and our task was to spot the Shinhwa members who will lose themselves in the crowd and disguise themselves. Hahaha. I think I was at Dongdaemun and I somehow spotted Eric in disguise. LOL and he spoke to me in English! I think we even had a proper conversation!! Hahahaha. Too bad I had to wake up.

The weather is bloody hot and humid!
Singapore has seasons. April/May marks the start of the bloody warm and stifling weather.
That's what I've noticed over the years.
I was melting on my way home in the non-aircon bus. Super uncomfortable and sticky.
And I've got all these pimples popping up on my face and other random body parts.
Hate the heat.

There was a huge fat lizard residing right underneath the keyboard! Like barely inches away from where my hands are now!
GROSS. Imagine, I was in such close proximity to the disgusting creature. I lifted the keyboard to kill some ants and I see this big fat lizard staring right back at me. *shudder*
Anyway my brave mom smacked the lizard to death after ensuring that it is woozy enough by spraying some insecticide.

I've got a new Korean variety show to occupy my time with after Exploration of the Human Body!
We Got Married essentially features 4 celeb pairings who pretend that they are married and they get to live together and all. Various aspects of their married life are then filmed and broadcast to nosy parkers like me. Hahaha. It's an interesting "reality TV" concept.
BOOHOO MONDAY IS HERE :(
5 more days to the next weekend.

Random from dramabeans - I thought the fat and skinny peppers were quite cute :)
Quite pissed that clubbox isn't working well for me all weekend. :x

My mother wants me to give her the equivalent of 25% of my take-home pay. @__@
Wahlao that is a lot of money lah!
I thought I was being very generous when I gave her more than what I planned initially.
But noooo she is now demanding more. It's not like the whole family is waiting for my salary to survive?!
Okay fine, so I've lived off my parents for the past 20 odd years and they've fed me and provided a shelter over my head so I owe it to them to give my bit to the household expenses. The least I could do for everything they've done for the past 20 years right?
It's just the demanding tone that she uses, as if it's expected that now I should foot all the utility bills and pay for all the household expenses. Sorry, but I don't recall us ever having this discussion? Somehow my expectations of how I'm going to manage my money and hers differ greatly?
Plus it's not like I've been leeching off them. I've earned my own pocket money for the past 3 years and it's not like I take hundreds of dollars from them every month to satisfy my cravings for frivolous things like say, KTVing. Money-wise, I think I'm a pretty sensible kid who doesn't waste my parents money.
I'm not unwilling to give them money per se, if only she would say it in a nicer way and not make me feel so cheated of my own money. I'm saddled with a 20K+ tuition fee loan, I want to save for overseas trips, I want to enjoy the freedom of buying whatever nonsense things I want to make myself happy, I want to spoil myself a bit now that I have some earning power!
Yes I belong to the generation of single young adults who don't have a mortgage to pay off, is self-centered and absorbed and think only of themselves.
Sigh so no choice but to grumble and complain and still fork out the money because they are my parents and I am a filial but grumpy daughter who doesn't want to part with her hard-earned cash. Now I understand why my colleague married so young.
I must warn my sister. YOU ARE WARNED. Set aside $500 from your accountant salary when you start work.
MONEY IS SO HARD TO EARN. :(
No, I should say MONEY IS NEVER ENOUGH. :( :( :(

Finally finished watching Sex and the City late last night! After repeated attempts to get tudou to start streaming. -_-; This series took me so long to complete. I think I started season 1 a year ago and only resumed watching after I found out about tudou in December. That's finally one thing off my "never-ending stuff to watch" list. :)
Now to wait for the SATC movie!
Random:
These shoes literally fell apart when I was wearing them. I had to use masking tape to tape the sole to the right shoe! The left shoe started to fall apart on my way home and I got so irritated, I just yanked the whole sole out. Try walking with a flapping sole and random bits falling off. I probably looked like an idiot.

Cheapo shoes from Bangkok
Below is our rather unappetizing mushy sushi from the stayover at Yanzz's house over the Good Friday holiday. Board gaming, Wii-ing, mahjong-ing. Woohoo!

Sushi made with rice that has the texture of porridge! Hahaha.
St. Nicks 75th Anniversary Funfair
Super hot day! Especially in those tents that trap heat. Thank goodness for the aircon in the MEP room. :D

Boohoo half the school's gonna be torn down :(

At the Secondary block - days where we spent our innocent youth...
More random:
SHINHWA-Kangta, 2 days concert, tourism income raises 5 billion - Haha not surprising. I am only too happy to help them increase their tourism income too. LOL.
아직 못다한 이야기 (The Stories We Haven't Told)
Although we have nothing, I keep thinking of the time we first met
We were happy because we had the same dream, we were still young then
During the time we used our little songs to change the world
Unknowingly we have already been dreaming the same dream for so long
Although we'll be separated for now, but please believe that there will be a day when we're back together
When that day comes I will definitely listen to the stories you haven't told
It feels like it was only yesterday I still remember our first stage we had for everyone
Unknowingly time has passed but the memories we'll never forget
The moments that we share always give me strength, as though you're just by my side
Please believe that we're determined to keep this in our hearts forever, it's not the end now
There were many tough times, times when we cried and laughed as we worked towards our dream
Please believe that you're the strength that kept me going on
Because there are still many dreams we haven't shared, so we will wait
I just want to spend the night sharing the stories we haven't told
We walk the same path We jump around We rock a music on a same stage
Unknowingly we've opened the 10th year on the same page
Thinking hard about it the whole night, we happily spent our 20s thinking of how to give everyone a new stage
Unknowingly time has passed, and in order to spend our 30s with you happily
Sorry, I'm sorry, I'll have to leave for a while, to prepare for a lifetime ahead together with you
Although I've already grown up unknowingly
But the passion in my heart has grown even more
Although we'll be separated for now, but please believe that there will be a day when we're back together
When that day comes I will definitely listen to the stories you haven't told

Wah 感动 leh. My current favourite song from their 9th album. Acoustic background, simple and nice.
Yes I will wait 3 years. I am a very patient person. I will not waver! Haha. :)

Today my colleague told me that I can pass off as a 17/18 year-old! HAHAHAHA.
Coz I have that "fresh-out-of-school" look.
I mean, duh. I AM fresh out of school. But I look so young meh?! Okay it's a compliment!
They are also pretty impressed that I am one of the "rare" "guai" species out there. Like, no hard partying, no hard drinking, leading a generally tame lifestyle, no boyfriends, will give my parents money (isn't that like expected of almost everyone when they go out to work?!), honest, unassuming, and a little naive. Look at my life. It's unexciting and blah and all my life I've always done what's expected. And I have been told that I look "guai" (read: plain Jane look).
I mean, what do they expect?! It's not like all the 22-year-olds out there or even people of my generation are leading super havoc lifestyles or having their lives spiral out of control or not being filial to their parents or whatever. Okay I'm sure some are, but let's not overgeneralize. I'm sure if they look hard enough, they will find plenty of people like me. Or maybe it's because the friends I mix with are mostly from the same mould too. Birds of a feather flock together, so my kind of lifestyle isn't that odd a choice, IMO.
Honestly I get a bit sick of them saying that I am "guai" (no this is not the first time they've told me that). YESSSSS I know I am guai (whatever being guai means), you don't have to tell me that. But seriously, what determines whether one is "guai"or not? Just because I don't sport dyed hair means I'm "guai"? Just because I don't put on makeup, or dress to the nines for work, means I'm "guai"? So if I look demure and tame but actually I'm a wild cat outside of work, I'm still "guai"? How would they know if I'm not some crazy psychopath inside with deep, mysterious secrets? It's kind of.... insulting and so superficial to be judged just based on my image can!
Wahlao maybe I should just go to the hairdresser and tell her I want to dye my hair orange and then appear at work and shock them. HAHAHA.
No I'm kidding. XD
What to do man, I'm such a good girl. Sigh.

Listening to the 9th album now and the 10th track is by far, my favourite. That's excluding 다시 한 번만 which I have been listening to death.
The lyrics are *sniffle*.
The past 2 work days have been hectic. But now that everything is more or less settled, today was quite a slack work day. Tomorrow boss on leave. Yay. Here's to more slack days at work!
