I inhaled a whole breath of white fumes of gaseous HCl today; stupid silly me forgot that HCl is a gas that exists in the form of white fumes when heated. I even directed the fumes to my nose and I thought I was inhaling Carbon Dioxide coz I got a positive limewater test. -_-
Had our 2.4 km run for NAPFA today, came in 8th out of 14 girls. The class girls are all extremely fast runners. They all started out so fast that I had to increase my pace from my usual slow jog so that I won't be lagging too much behind. Anyway, got quite a good timing, the best out of all my years in school I think. 14:34. Yay! 4 seconds away to an A but I'm not aiming for gold, so it doesn't matter. Now, I just hope that I will be able to pass my standing broad jump. Legs, don't fail me!
Shall go do Complex numbers assignment now. Tata~

The Friday Five. Although it isn't a Friday.

1. What was the last TV show you watched?
The last part of the Genie show. I think the last time when I sat through an entire show was during American Idol on Thursday.

2. What was the last thing you complained about?
Oh, lots. Of what I can remember, I think I was complaining to Angie about my mother nagging at my frequent going-outs. And my homework.

3. Who was the last person you complimented and what did you say?
On Friday, when I was basically talking crap to Gillian.

4. What was the last thing you threw away?
A rasin box.

5. What was the last website (besides this one) that you visited?
I open about 5 windows at a time so... blogger.com? Haha.

***

For the record, I have a new picture featuring 4 Grimaces! Haha. But it's a bit small, and it's not very clear.

It's taking me great effort not to click on the American Idol link in my bookmarks. I shall find out who go voted out later on the show.

Yay, the newest entries have decided to appear.
An extremely sleepy day today.

My sleeping schedule:
Slept on the bus on my way to school
0830-0900 - sleeping in the string orch room
somewhere between 1115-1140 - dozed off in the chem lab
(didn't sleep during econs! surprisingly..)
1445-1530 - alternating between dozing off, nodding away and being blurry eyed during GP
Slept on the bus on my way home

ZzzzZzzzZzzz.

I can't read the newest entries that I published. Can anyone else read this? If so, leave me a shoutout in the entry that says "Carpe diem!", which is the last entry that I can read. I can't seem to read the latest entries from other blogs also, unless they haven't been updating their blogs. Sigh.

Went out with friends today. It was nice. :) Angie and me had a nice time sourcing for Gillian's present after she left. The crazy ideas we come up with! Haha. ;)
Too bad our studies has robbed us all of living our lives a little.

SYF is now postponed to July. Anytime from the 12th to the 17th. Gah. Now we have to practice like crazy again. I was kind of hoping that we get over and done with it quickly. I forsee that our June holidays will be devoted to practices. And lessons. And what about the Common Tests to be held immediately after the June break? They should spare a thought for us Year 2s.
Luckily they didn't audition us on Wednesday. They (mainly the President and VP) were picking on the poor Year 1s. I didn't say much, because I thought as a lousy player myself I have no right to comment on other people's playing. But to tell the truth, some were quite bad. If we went into SYF playing like that, I think we would have gotten Bronze or worse, COP. Other good ones have that "I can't be bothered to practice" attitude. I mean they are good players from SYO and they don't practice! What is this?! My only cello junior can't play well either. Sigh. When we graduate they'll have to face the problem of 1 cellist vs. 10 violinist and violists.
Other highlights: I broke an A string of my junior's sister's cello. Felt immensely bad after that. I wanted to bring the cello home to practice but I guess on second thought I better not destroy the intrument anymore. It's not an easy task to transport it home on public transport.

Sigh. Something's wrong with Blogger. The entries I published doesn't show up and the April archives doesn't work. And there's also something wrong with the alignment but I'm too lazy to alter it now. :)

Sigh.
I failed my GP essay. 21/50.
Got C6. On the dot.

My results don't look very optimistic.

Anyway, I was reading this Ponggol-Pasir Ris publication and they were introducing the new JC, Meridian JC. Now I kinda wished that they open the JC earlier. Like last year? Then maybe I would go there and have a nice, new fresh start. And I don't need to waste time on travelling also. And can you believe this? I was thinking maybe I can run for council and be one of those enthusiatic people who go round "making a difference" and changing the image of the school (as what future NJ council elects always claim). Those council speeches are really getting to my brain man.

Haiya. Can't be bothered anymore. Just live and learn and deal with it.

Spent my whole day trying to finish those three chemistry tutorials. Now I'm left with GP and I'm all set for school tomorrow. :)

I didn't sleep at all yester-yesternight, slept at 8am yesterday morning and woke at 4pm. Trs terrible right? :) I think nobody else has such an erratic sleeping schedule as mine.
Mother's been complaining about my weird sleeping habits. But I can't help it! Somehow I'll just manage to survive through the night during the holidays. And the cycle will repeat itself. Sleep late = wake up late = sleep late again. If only I can manage to stay up through the night during normal school days (where we all have to wake up before the crack of dawn, wake early = fall asleep everywhere) and do my homework and tuts before falling asleep on my table then all will be fine and well. :)

Watched the NKF charity show just now. Thought that it was rather reckless to put your life at risk by doing something that you didn't even train for, like lying on glass. And having someone jump onto your stomach while your back is unprotected by shreds of glass. Shudder. All for the good name of charity. Is it worth it? What if somebody gets hurt? Many across the island had their eyes glued onto the TV screen, with bated breath, watching something like a circus act. Seems like entertainment to me, but only at a cost.

GP awaits! Sigh. *grumble grumble*

The Carboxylic Acids tutorial might as well be written in a foreign language.
Somehow I'd understand what the lecture notes are trying to say, but when I get down to doing the tutorial, I don't know how to start.
Grrrrr. WHY is it always like that?!

I forgot what I wanted to say.

Sunday is here, and I gotta complete tons of Chemistry homework. :(
Bye.

Take the test
, by Emily.

Sleepy. ZzzzZzzzZzzzZzzzZzzz....
Slept for like only a miserable 2 hours yesterday.

Got back Common Test results today. Like what I predicted. Fs for Econs and Chem, but did slightly better for Maths. D instead of E. Haha.
Hope I won't get hailed up to meet the principal or something.

Today I learnt something about myself.
I'm probably a block of wood with no emotions. Or rather, I do not feel. I do not make myself feel. No emotional baggage.
Crying over badly done papers is not my style, friends.

Life goes on as usual.
So face it! Face reality, friends.
Anyway, I've been so accustomed to doing badly that I don't really feel anything anymore. Not even numbness.

This is what an SMS said, "Are you ok? How are you feeling? Numb? Surely you'll feel something right?" Hah.
No. I don't. I don't get so affected over my results. Everyone around me is worrying their head off, hoping that they can maintain their 4 A level subjects, getting all stressed over their results. I suppose it's better for me in a way, because I don't get stressed over whether I can keep 4 subjects or not. But sometimes I get quite irritated. Like, oh, I'm really sorry you can't keep four subjects, but I can't really do anything about it since what's done is already done, and I don't even have 4 subjects, so can you like please stop whining and complaining?

Sounds very mean right. Sigh. I suppose I can see how they feel. Put yourself in other's shoes, like Atticus (in To Kill A Mockingbird) said. But it's so tiring to put yourself in other's shoes all the time. So sick of just listening to people complain and getting all worked up and stressed. Why give yourself unnecessary pressure?!
They have a future, but I don't really have one. Sigh.

I shall not stay up till 6am today, or I will be a walking zombie tomorrow.
(Actually I wanted to)

I shall go to sleep soon. Need to pack my bag compile all the dusty lecture notes first.

School tomorrow! Sigh.
I've had it better than other JC students: 2 extra days to slack and bum around. Haha.
But I wish school won't reopen so soon. Can't get my body to get back to the school-mode. Sigh. A levels! Tougher days are a-coming.

Which Plant Are You?
this quiz was made by Erin

Bleeeeah. My father bought chocolate flavoured HL Milk instead of the normal flavoured one. It's too chocolatety. Can feel the underside of my tongue acting weird again. Ulcers forming again? Oh. No. But I've had enough sleep for the past 2 weeks!!!! Maybe it has to do with being nocturnal.

Hm. Considering that I woke up at 9am (the earliest since the SARS break started) I should be dozing off soon. Good. Then maybe I can adjust back to the biological clock.

What month should you have been born in?
this quiz was made by Erin

Ah, but the Novemeber one describes me rather accurately too. It says: You're a sharp thinker and you have a lot of ideas. You have a dynamic personality, but you can be
secretive. You're Brave, generous and patient. But you can be stubborn and hard-hearted because you're so determined. You love to be alone and have your own space. You're homely and romantic, but uncertain in relationships. But you're unable to control your emotions and extremely unpredictable.

I'm a November baby, FYI. :)

Today was rather fun. :) Ade, Sandy, Shuhui and Gillian came over to compile our German Gaassssy club photo album. This is them hard at work:

Image rather blurry, but it's the best I can do with this lousy digital cam. :)

We made our own lunch, and promptly turned the kitchen into some kind of disaster. Sigh. Had a hard time cleaning up. Amazing what those girls can turn a simple activity like cutting luncheon mean and chopping onions into. Well, not that I'm a superb cook, but at least I don't end up with luncheon meat all over the floor.

Sometimes I like things to go my way, maybe I'm not very responsive to other people's suggestions. We must learn to give and take. *nod*

Completed the Sec 4 Graduation photos, looks very nice. :) Now we have birthday celebrations, SYO concert, V-day, and the Baking Project last year. Wowee.

Sandy and Ade had a whale of a time playing WordRacer also. Haha. Well at least SARS didn't really dampen our moods. Two more days before I go back to school (because of common tests). But still have to go back for CCA tomorrow. Sigh. And I haven't finished my research on Bach and Mozart. -_-
I don't really miss the routine of going to NJ daily because the journey there is so damn long, who will enjoy it anyway? And I have to climb like a million steps to my destination. So of course, naturally I won't miss it much. Haha. In fact, I wish I don't have to go back to school at all. The brain's rusty from not being used for two weeks and I must move my lazy bum to do tutorials! Chem especially. And I must try to understand complex numbers. After all, they weren't called complex for nothing. :)

There's this extremely sad MTV plot. It's this Korean (I think) song called Because I'm A Girl. My friend told me the storyline before, and then by a twist of fate I chanced upon the MTV again and watched it. Sigh. So sad. I had to stop halfway while watching if not I would feel those dratted water droplets in my eyes *sniff*.
ARGH but it's really sad lah. Albeit a tad predictable.

Our cycling trip was very eventful. We saw a stripper and encountered two thick-skinned guys who tried to hit on us. Bwhahaha. And also, we witnessed the birth of the German GAASSSSY club. Hur hur.

And I only need to go back to school on Friday. Yay!

For now, life is good.

This is a nice site. Have fun catching stars!

Today I came upon another site that scared the wits out of me. @_@ Freaky.
Here, visit at your own risk.

Been eating too much brownies. Yay, tomorrow I hope I can go cycling. It gets rather boring when all you do at home is to watch TV, use the computer or eat.

Another online meeting at 10.30pm later on. Sigh. Sometimes these meetings aren't exactly useful. We keep discussing the same old things!!! Committment, "it's this much to success", ways of intimidating players to practice, how to get them geared up for SYF... blah blah.
I think we are just making mountains out of molehills. There's only so much we can do, right? It's really all up to the players whether they want to be enthusiastic about the CCA and to practice and to strive for a gold. Sigh. *throws hands up* I can't be bothered anymore.

Been taking photos all day with the lousy digital camera, which doesn't allow me to take pictures if there's not enough light. Sigh.
Anyway, today there was this very yellow sunset, as in when I looked out of the window the whole sky was yellow. Really yellow. A stark contrast to white walls. So I tried taking a picture but it ended up looking like this:

Sigh. Doesn't exactly look yellow but sigh. Nevermind.

My my my.
Been eating brownies for the whole day. So much calories. I can feel my muscles turning into fats because all I do all day is eat and bum around at home.
Shall go cycling! It's now my current favourite form of exercise. Swimming too, but we are discouraged to go to public swimming pools because of the SARS thing.

Eating a late night snack of bread and cheese now. Mmm.
Well, at least it's better than brownies. There's only one quarter tray of brownies left. Sigh. I took a picture of it. :) Er well, it's not of very good quality coz I can't take it in the kitchen, not enough light or something. So I had to bring it to the room and place the tray on my study table. :) Messy table I have.
So, shoo. Look at the Visual section.
They don't look very appetizing, do they? -grin-

American Idol was fine. But some of the SMS that Singaporeans sent were really silly. And all those love declaration messages. *rolls eyes* What, they think it's a free-for-all-love-message board?
Made a bet with my friend today. The one who lost would have to treat the other to banana prata. I said that Carmen would get booted out today, but because of Corey Clark's disqualification "those twerps didn't eliminate anyone today" as my friend put it. I think I will change my mind. Carmen seems to sing better each week. Hard choice. All of them can actually sing pretty well.

Sigh. Another boring day to look forward to tomorrow. *makes face* Not that I'm excited about going back to school, (when sch reopens it means 200% to CCA and tutorials again) but there isn't much to do at home actually.

Lalalalas.

If someone sings this during graduation, I think I'll be very very touched.
Lovely song.

Remember Me This Way -- Soundtrack : Casper (1995)

Every now and then
We find a special friend
Who never lets us down
Who understands it all
Reaches out each time you fall
You're the best friend that I've found

I know you can't stay
A part of you will never ever go away
Your heart will stay

* I'll make a wish for you
And hope it will come true
That life would just be kind
To such a gentle mind
If you lose your way
Think back on yesterday
Remember me this way
Remember me this way
Hmm.. this way

I don't need eyes to see
The love you bring to me
No matter where I go
And I know that you'll be there
Forever more apart of time, you're everywhere
I'll always cares
(Repeat *)

And I'll be right behind your shoulder watching you
I'll be standing by your side and all you do
And I won't ever leave
As long as you believe
You just believe
(Repeat *)

Time: 4.03AM, Early Thursday morning (all times according to my Computer clock)
Weather: Lovely!!! I love the weather now. It rained not too long ago. Now there's this really cool breeze and this really nice smell of fresh air. I love fresh air. The weather should always be like that in Singapore. *sticks face at window grill and sighs happily*
Munching: Hard-as-a-rock brownies that I baked today. At least your teeth don't break when you try to bite them. *wrenches a chunk of brownie out using a spoon* Hey, I think it gets nicer the more you eat it. (self-delusion at its best, haha)
Gulping: Water. H2O! 2 Hydrogen molecules and 1 Oxygen molecule. Hydrogen bonds as intermolecular forces. Polar molecule. Bent in shape. Angle probably less than 120 degrees.
Listening: Zhang Hui Mei song. Lalalalala.
Record of what I did today: Baked brownies, did Winnie the Pooh cross stitch, watched TV and also other fundamentals like eating, bathing etc for survival.

No more wind!!! :( Oh. No.
Maybe it'll rain tomorrow night?
I wish I can take a bottle and capture the air and wind at that point of time. Lovely. :)

My face is so oily. Gah.
It produces oil in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening, and at night.
They can probably use it as an oil refinery or something. -_-

Just finished typing a Lit essay out for my sister. It was on the impending doom of the marriage between the star-crossd lovers Romeo and Juliet. When I studied Lit last time I thought Romeo and Juliet were incredibly silly, despite their great love for each other. Actually the story gets quite boring. Maybe it's just me, I don't understand Shakespearean language and never will. I still like To Kill A Mockingbird. Maybe I'll take it out to read during this SARS break.

Wait, so is it a SARS break or a SARS holiday? Since they are going to rob 1 week of our time in June this is our pre-June holiday right?
I shall play Monopoly!!! Haha.
