Season = Winter
You're Most Like The Season Winter ...
You're often depicted as the cold, distant season.
But you're incredibly intelligent, mature and
Independant. You have an air of power around
you - and that can sometimes scare people off.
You're complex, and get hurt easily - so you
rarely let people in if you can help it. You
can be somewhat of a loner, but just as easily
you could be the leader of many. You Tend to be
negative, and hard to relate to, but you give
off a relaxed image despite being insecure -
and secretly many people long to be like you,
not knowing how deep the Winter season really
is. Well done... You're the most inspirational of
seasons :)

Hey hey hey! I'm in a rather good mood. :) Spent an extremely enjoyable evening out with the ichee family. Oh ho ho ho ho ho! :) It was really fun, we had dinner at Brewerkz (is it spelt like that?) and for once, I am actually the earliest! Bwhahaha that usually happens once in a blue moon but I think the NEL played a big part in resulting my early arrival. Had good food and beer, and great company! What else can we ask for? :) I went a little crazy after drinking some strawberry beer (?) but it's not because I was drunk! It was because I was happy! Happy happy happy! :) Like I said, I always get amused very easily and I like to make others laugh. :) Of course I made quite a big fool out of myself (resulting in many concerned questions on whether I would be able to make it home in my current state) but rest assured, I was never drunk. Really! Half a glass of beer won't make me drunk lah. But then again I don't really like the taste of beer, it's too bitter for my liking. -_- Had a short stroll along Clarke Quay, oh the night scene there is really nice, took many pictures, (can't wait to see the pictures!) stopped for some coffee, and then went home. Would have loved to stay on later but there's always another chance next time. Hahaha. Anyway, a very important date is coming up.

Been a rather hectic two days, went searching up and down for birthday presents yesterday, went to trim my hair (although I know, it doesn't seem as though there's any difference), had to drag myself out of bed today to go to school for Chem prac, had tuition, and had a very successful birthday dinner. Hmmmm. I'll have the whole of tomorrow to myself. Wanted to do some more shopping but my current financial status is really very dismal. Need to swim. Exercise. Oh and I haven't done anything on my to-do list. Bahhhhhhhh.

Also, been having sleep-related problems lately. My biological clock is really really screwed. Now, sleeping at 2am is considered "early" to me and my normal sleep time is 4am. Of course, this spells D-O-O-M when school reopens, having to drag myself awake at 6am every morning. But I'm hoping that once the week starts I'll be able to get back into the cycle of not sleeping so late. Because everytime I can't fall asleep and I'll end up tossing and turning in bed for an hour or more. Tsk tsk. I have disgusting sleeping habits. It's so easy to fall into a sleep-late-wake-up-even-later routine. Maybe I have a sleeping disorder and I should go see a psychiatrist.

Other matters aside, on Monday we'll most probably be getting back our Prelim papers, which I am looking forward to but yet not looking forward to. Very contradicting, ain't it? I dare not have hope nor confidence in myself that I'll do exceptionally well, because getting 3 As to me is out of the question for now. But at the same time I feel that I've done my best in my papers and I have the ability and knowledge to complete certain parts. Sigh sigh sigh. So I suppose the good will cancel out the bad and I'll just get mediocre results, which will be like EEE. Which is all I'm hoping for, really. I'm a simple girl who knows her limitations.

Restructured timetable starts the following Monday. Then it'll be BOOM the mad rush to the finishing line. Sigh. :( It's really sad how our lives revolve round getting good grades but that's the way of life.

Woah really long post. I just feel like a granny, rambling on and on and on... nagging non-stop. But I'm still a happy girl :)
And I think it's time for me to go adjust back into my sleeping routine.

    Prelims are over!

Yay yay yay. Sing a happy song! :)

For now, I shall rest and enjoy my 4 days of break before it's back to the books again.

Anyway, I had a nice day out today. I love getting amused over the silliest, stupidest things. Hahahaha Saint and Empress. :D Now I feel relatively unburdened and can be my silly little self again. :)

Oh but I'm very broke. Any ideas on how to spin money in, 2 days?! Hmmm. Besides going to rob a bank that is.

    It's raining it's raining it's raining!!! :) Perfect weather to sleep. :)

I'm at the NJC website now. Surprisingly there are a number of useful links for various subjects. Hahaha. And the website looks much better now.

I just checked out how to get PEARLS points and darn, I didn't know it was so difficult to get an A grade for CCA. (Haha, blame myself for not paying attention during the PEARLS talk in year 1) The figures are rather depressing. Sigh.

Haha I just realized when you rearrange the letters of "National Junior College" you get "Uncool or inelegant jail".
Is that an apt description? You decide. :p

I have a 4 day break before my next and last paper.

Gotta try to study before I just waste all that hours away doing absolutely senseless, unworthwhile stuff. I realize I can only study the night before the paper. It's only then when I start to sit down and read through my notes, do papers, and work through the entire night. So that's gotta change. I resolve to sleep early on the night before my Econs paper.

    Let's see whether that'll work.

The Prelims have been rather energy-draining. The outcome for Maths doesn't look very positive. Oh well.

Yeah, need to add on a point to my list of How not to catch a beetle. In this case, it's how to catch a beetle properly.

If the beetle is resting on a bag that you hung up, do the following:
  • Get a bamboo pole with a hook on one end.
  • Stand as far as possible as you can away from the beetle, but making sure that the hook is able to hook onto the bag handle properly.
  • Lift the bag up using the hook and slowly shift yourself to the nearest window. NOTE: This process has to be done extremely carefully because you wouldn't want to disturb the beetle while it's sleeping on your bag or it'll cause pandemonium.
  • Stick the bamboo pole with bag attached out of the window. Of course, you have to make sure that your bag doesn't drop 10 levels down. That requires great skill.
  • Get your sister to help you fling the beetle out of the window.

    Ta-da! You are now in a beetle-free environment. :)

How not to catch a beetle

  • Do not take a 3-metre bamboo pole and jab at the surrounding areas where the big, fat yellow beetle is resting.
  • Do not attempt to lure it out and trap it using an overturned cup. Beetles most unfortunately can fly and they like to land on uneven territory.
  • Do not make a lot of noise at 2am at night.
  • Do not scream in fear when the beetle shows signs of shifting position or when it moves 1 millimeter.
  • Do not drop the bamboo pole on the floor. Having irate neighbours at 2 am is not a good idea.
  • Try not to agitate the beetle. When provoked, the beetle when provoke you.
  • Do not stop thinking of ideas on how to catch the above-mentioned pest. No matter how ridiculous or absurd the idea sounds, it may work in the end.

    Conclusion

The best way to catch a beetle is by using the trusty household appliance – the vacuum cleaner. Team up with someone and hold the nozzle close to the beetle before the power is switched on. Once activated, the beetle will be sucked in and you can now watch the big, fat, ugly, squrimish, and yellow beetle swim the in vacuum cleaner (assuming that you have a vacuum cleaner that works using water). Now enjoy the peace and quiet after the capture of the beetle.

I'm so happy. :) 3 papers down, 5 more to go. We're almost halfway there!

Anyway, they are NOT showing TAR3 every weekday. Darn. They didn't show it yesterday, and neither did they show it today. Bleah. Maybe it's just on Thursday and Friday.

Going off a tangent: my baby littlest nah, baby sister has decided to make her disgusting constipated noises when she's asleep again. Especially in the wee hours of the monring when all is quiet and I'm feverishly skimming through my notes. Bah. My sister says that it's because she has an active mind which won't even let her rest at night. And it seems like all her dreams are nightmares or it can't be anything good, coz she always sounds as though she's (a) irritated/annoyed/pissed, (b) trying to run away from someone or some monster, (c) giving a loud piercing shriek that irritates the hell out of me. Bah. Nobody in my family sleep-talks except for her. And when I'm trying to get some rest at 5am she keeps tossing and turning and making all those noises, I feel so 辛苦 and in the end I end up listening to her mumble mumble shriek groan cry until my pillow turns warm and and flat. Gah.

I haven't slept a wink since 35 hours ago (not counting the small nap I took on my way to school on the bus) and now I'm extremely sleep deprived. Forgive me for spouting all sorts of nonsense. The gray matter is rather drained from absorbing (or the lack of it) and regurgitating Chemistry stuff. Lecithin and emulisifiers, Ksp and Kc. What the Le Chatelier's principle says, and what Organic reactions require Lithium Aluminium Hydride in dry ether for reduction.

Now I don't feel like sleeping. Bah.

Oh yeah and they are repeating the Amazing Race 3 on Channel 5, 3.00pm, every weekday.

So of course I'm gonna waste 1 hour of my afternoon watching it. Hah.

My inner child is sixteen years old!

Life's not fair! It's never been fair, but while

It's raining! I love it when it rains. When it starts to pour, especially. And the wind! Haha :) I think I've said that at least 5 times in my entire blogging career.
Most unfortunately, my father wants me to close the windows. :( Bleurgh.

There's chui kuey to eat for breakfast tomorrow! You know the white thing with cai por? *grins at Empress and Saint* Haha :) Anyway, I hope to drag myself up bright and early in the morning (i.e 9am -- that's considered terribly early for me) and hopefully manage to accomplish something tomorrow.

    Woo. The battle starts.

    Oh the audacity!

Our dear junior Exco has decided that they don't have enough funds for their senseless squandering, and have started running to the Queen and babbled out that we spent too much money on purchasing SYF photos. Please start rolling your eyeballs.

Well firstly, they don't even know our side of the story at all. What right do they have to demand more money from the teachers? Or from us? We earned that money. Therefore we have the right to spend it in whatever way we wish. If they want more, they can jolly well go and think of ideas and earn it themselves. WE are NOT going to spoonfeed them and we are not going to be treated as money trees.

And why on earth do they need a TV in the room? Are they trying to turn it into a holiday resort or a love nest for certain people?

They can all just burn and rot.

Now I'm in trouble. Gotta meet the Queen together with my ****** junior and I have to bring all my records and receipts. Wanted to give them all a chance, but I suppose it's not time to play nice girl now.

    Irritating.

GP and Chem practical prelims are over! I'm rather happy/relieved. At least it's over. But part of me was hoping that this is the real thing, so that I won't have to go through these horrible exams again. Ah. On the other hand, I'm glad that there will be a second chance for me to (hopefully) do better and to learn from my mistakes. How contradicting.

I came home today and took a nap. Was quite tired today, and I had an annoying headache that kept bugging me during my GP paper. Well at least I didn't fall asleep during the paper.

3.30am now, and I don't have school tomorrow. It's Physics practical for the rest of the cohort tomorrow. Will be staying at home and hopefully I'll get down to doing some work. I'm feeling a little hungry now. But there's no food at home. Arrrrgggh.

Looking back, I guess this term passed very quickly. Hm. In fact, I think the whole year went by just like that without me even realizing it. Was just reading about the July Common Tests -- seemed as though I just sat for them and now I have to sit for the prelims. And then SYF, and then the funfair, and then all the nitty-gritty useless trival stuff that is probably of no interest to any of you.

And around this time last year, I was in Genting Highlands.

Oh well. Why am I even thinking so much anyway.
