Guess what, I saw the trailer for Goong S and (drama) Hwang Jin Yi on TV! (Not to be confused with movie Hwang Jin Yi.) But I don't get why our broadcasters would want to buy the rights to Goong S, because I don't think it was as fantastic as the original. In fact, I think it didn't do very well when it aired in Korea.

Anyway since they're showing Hwang Jin Yi in like December or something, I can save myself the trouble of downloading the episodes. I have been meaning to watch it for a very long time, but then again, I seriously have too many things to watch already.

So one fine night, in a moment of randomness, I decided to make a list of all the K-dramas I watched and total the number of hours spent on this activity. The rough estimate is 284 hours plus plus plus. o___o And the number of dramas I've conquered within this one year of addiction is 18.

TERM BREAK IS ENDING and I haven't done anything at all, except for maybe read a paragraph of my advertising text. Dammit. I really haaaaaate my laziness and inertia sometimes. And all I've done this week is to sleep alot, read Harry Potter, waste a lot of time on Facebook adding applications like there's no tomorrow, checking out who sent me stuff, superpoking, bombing pirates and landlubbers, reciprocating those who sent me stuff and petting everybody's Fluffpet. Super waste time.

ARGGHH Facebook is evil and I will regret squandering away my term break when next Thursday comes!!! :x

I have a sudden urge to seize my little sister's dinner and throw it away in the dustbin. Let her starve for all I care. That ungrateful, spoilt brat.

And really, my dad needs better parenting skills lah. CMI.

I just got back from my Sunday jog and was climbing up the stairs as usual when I saw a shoebox with a hamster in it. Abandoned at the 9th floor staircase.

The hamster was buried in the sawdust and was sleeping. It looked just like my hamster except that its fur was dark brown with a tinge of white. And I was pissed that some inconsiderate pet owner decided to just conveniently dump his or her pet hamster at the staircase. WAHLAO. What happened to responsibility?! You do not just buy a pet and dump it when you don't feel like keeping it anymore!!!!!

Even when I was presented with Hamster 2 years ago and was in a state of shock - I was a very un-pet person and had absolutely no idea of taking care of a little critter - dumping it was not even an option. It is a living thing! How can those irresponsible pet owners just throw the poor hamster away?!?!?!?!

So I brought it to the pet shop but they didn't want it. My hamster cage is too small for 2 hamsters and besides, both of them will probably fight and claw each other to death. :( HOW!!! The poor abandoned hamster!!! And those irritating idiotic hamster-abandoners! Cruel, hard-hearted, irresponsible people!!! I'm damn pissed at these phantom people. Angry! Riled up!!! GRRRRR!

I don't know what I can do for that poor hamster!!! :(

Anybody wants a hamster?

Week 6 over already, which means I have about 7 more weeks left to masquerade as a student. And then come the exams, and a last glorious month of holidays. And then who knows what lies ahead? Oh boo. I can't wait.

And since time is slipping away so quickly (very much unlike the slow-moving 11 weeks I spent doing an internship) I guess I should really submit that MOE application. Only that I seem to be facing some inertia in filling it up properly and clicking the submit button. But I think I have almost got myself convinced that I should join the noble profession of teaching. Yeah! Convincing myself is the first step towards action.

2 mid-terms and 2 projects to tackle this term break. I really wonder how I managed to survive doing 6 modules for the whole of last year? Because I don't feel like there's a significant reduction in my workload despite doing only 3 mods. I think I get lazier as I grow older. Either that or my mental and cognitive capabilities are not what they used to be.

I like to browse in Watsons and supermarkets. :)
I need more money!
Still reading Harry Potter, and after almost 2 months, I'm only at Book 5. Aiyo.
And for once in my life, I am not looking forward to Fridays.

Random soundbite of the day:

Faceless Girl A: I'm in Year 4.
Faceless Girl B: *in a rather loud squeal* OH MY GOD YOU'RE IN YEAR 4?!??!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!??! I thought you were in Year 2!!!
Si Yi who happened to be within hearing distance: ....................

They make Year 4s sound like old, wizened creatures on the verge of extinction. -___-;;

Ditto the freshies in my German class - they seem so... excitable.

Oh, and I really dislike the new IVLE. Give me back IVLE 7!!!

Tired, not enough sleep, grumpy, hate 8am classes, just bombed an interview, contradicted myself, hemmed and hawed, projects to do, itchy throat, poor, broke, aimless, goalless, incapable, no strengths, stuck in a quarter-life crisis, not knowing what I want.

Want to sleep but can't, feeling resentful about having to work later.

My whole life feels like a big mistake.

What am I good at besides indulging in hedonistic pleasures?

Eins. I've been in a I-want-to-shop-and-spend mood for the whole of this week. Not a good thing, especially since I don't have much money left to last me for this month. Oh, but the temptation from pretty things!

Zwei. Had a long day in school today when it shouldn't have been long. And I spent 1 hour jostling with the over-zealous, predominantly female crowd at this Glamourlicious thing at the forum, looking at cheap cosmetics instead of studying for my German test!

Drei. Every now and then I get really sian of my part-time job and I don't feel like working there anymore. Now is one of those times.

Vier. I am going round petting everyone's pets on Facebook just so that I can earn some munny to buy food for my cow - who is named WANNIE. Ahahahaha.

Okay need to do my tutorial. I must sleep early today.

I NEED TO SLEEP.
I don't know why I'm up half the night doing absolutely unproductive stuff.

I need to sleep at normal hours!

Anyhow parents and little sis are back. Goodbye to peace and quiet... but I'm not gonna miss doing the housework.

Jolin has a new MV featuring Kim Jae Won. He doesn't have much screen time in the MV but I think the MV is part of a bigger thing, like a movie or something.

Something new to do at KTV in future - oogle at Korean hunks. :D

I am loving the Wansyung collab so so so much that I downloaded 2 high quality clips (which are essentially the same) of them singing. Total love. :)

Realization of the month: I HAVE BEEN SPENDING TOO MUCH TIME ON FACEBOOK for the past few days weeks month.

I need to study for my vocab test!!! I need to do a lot of other things besides adding stupid applications and throwing sheep!

I was watching America's Next Top Model Cycle 8 on TV just now, and the military get-up that Tyra wore was extremely unflattering. And the girls were so over the top! It's kind of hilarious, but ANTM's getting to be so exaggerated.
The previous winners are all a blur after 7 seasons. Who won again last season? Oh, Caridee.

I'm grumpy coz of my 8am class later and the fact that I have a 12pm project meeting scheduled tomorrow. Which means I cannot come home to sleep and have to rot for 3 hours in school. GRRR.
The new Tuesday tutorial class thing didn't work out in the end, so I'm stuck with the horrible 8am class. Hooray, I think I shall go sleep for an hour or something. *grumpy*

Ratatouille was cute and funny. Rats aren't really supposed to be cute but it's an animated film so everything is probably cute anyway. Remy the rat kind of reminded me of Hamster. Speaking of which, Hamster has long hamsternails like talons on her tiny paw. Is that normal and will it hurt her when she cleans herself?

All I can recall from this week is doing household chores. I feel like I've done more household chores this whole week compared to what I do in 3 months. I had a go at mopping the floor for the first time in my life - and mopping the floor is bloody difficult!!! I'd rather vacuum than mop because my hands are tiny and wringing the mop takes a lot of effort. Not fun. :x

The mere thought of having to do household chores after a tiring day of work in future is making me feel exhausted. For now, I can still work the chores around my rather flexible schedule, but in future I'd probably have zero time for myself and to do the things I like if I had to vacuum, mop and do the laundry after work. That, or be a Hausfrau in future, which is not exactly very appealing either.

I miss my camera - my mom kopped it and brought it to China. But I discovered the macro function on my uncle's old camera and surprise, it actually takes rather clear pictures up close! Woots. I must explore my camera's macro function and take some good pictures of Hamster.

The macro function works! I can even see the crumbs on the tiramisu!!! Everytime I try to take close-up shots they just end up being blur. :(

Peh Si Yi --

Okay I must go and sleep.

Parents and little sis away on holiday! While they're away I have to jaga all the random things around the household. It's nice not having my mom breathe down my neck at mundane daily stuff ("Girl ah, go and bathe! Girl ah, keep the clothes! Girl ah, iron the clothes!"), and having free rein to do whatever I want and eat whatever I like, but with their absence comes the realization of all the tiny things that they do which I usually take for granted. Like locking the door and taking out the trash.

So I survived my 8am tutorial last Friday by staying up the whole night (with a half-hour shut eye period). I found that I actually quite enjoy the serenity of campus at this ghastly early hour. I am not a morning person, but I think I am more appreciative of mornings (fresh air, chirpy birds and all things lovely) when I am not in a semi-comatose state. Then I came home and conked out from 12pm - 6pm, waking up only to drag myself to work.

I have lots of German hausaufgabe to do but I am in no mood to complete them. In fact I am in no mood for anything school related. Still indulgent in my luxurious weekend mood and not bothering about anything else.

Yesterday was Teachers' Day. Oh the horror - maybe in a couple of years' time I will be wishing myself a Happy Teachers' Day. :x
