Life has been very much boring! (As evidenced from my 365 blog.)
I need to try to be diligent and update daily instead of accumulating a few weeks' worth of entries and updating all at one go!

Oh yes. I have gone for 2 lessons of samba (or is it salsa? I don't really know the difference hahaha) and I am pleased to say that I can catch up with the instructor most of the time. Most.
We are supposed to be able to complete the entire choreography for one song by the end of 4 classes so hahahaha that can be one of my 才艺表演 in future! LOL!

I hope the pole dancing will be more challenging, looking forward to some aches and pains. Samba is quite relaxed actually. Wouldn't recommend as an exercise especially since we can't do much in an hour.

Unfortunately I have warts (YES WARTS!) on the soles of my feet, and it's very painful and affecting the way I walk. Some stupid fungus apparently decided to make my feet their home. And the doctor says it's gonna take a while before it completely disappears! Plus it's infectious and I've apparently spread it to my sister. :(

I have been buying lots of clothes compulsively (BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD!!!!!!) when in actual fact I should be saving for my trip! :(

This will not do. From June onwards, I have to set a strict budget for online shopping!

So over the weekend, we went for dinner at Hosted on the Patio to celebrate Gillian's birthday. Pretty nice place tucked away in some corner in Alexandra Road.

Allow me to do some picture spamming.

What would we do without iPhone apps like Instagram? :D

Appetizers - Atlantic crab salad. Delish!

Appetizers - Portobello market fresh
(I love shrooms!)

Grilled angus tenderloin. The waitress was shocked that Angie wanted it rare and kept triple checking. Haha.

My pan roasted barramundi - basically fish placed on top of baked beans (bean ragout)

Mouth itchy, so we ordered more finger food! Onion rings (so-so, too much batter and not enough onion imo) and another shroomy thing! :D

For your visual appreciation hahaha.

And here comes dessert - chocolate fondant

And an apple crumble with strawberry ice cream

Angie is the master at writing backwards! *kowtow*

Oh did I mention I love lingerie shopping? I love lingerie shopping. :)
Even if I have no money, browsing is also fun!
Girly indulgences. :)

I am proud to announce that I can now put on my contact lenses in about 1 minute! For both eyes! Yay!!!!!! :)

However, taking it out still requires lots of patience and skill. Time ranges from 15 mins to half an hour. :(

Seems like I've been having quite a few 4-day weeks recently... it feels like the days when we were enjoying our alternate 4-day, no-pay-leave weeks. I WANT MORE PUBLIC HOLIDAYS PLEASE!

The 2.5 weeks in USA is starting to look like a mad rush from place to place! Definitely not a rest and relax trip. (think: Japan!)

And where am I going to find money to do all my shopping? Tickets and tours and stuff are already so expensive! :( SAD.

Someone posted photos of her recent trip to Maldives on Facebook and it looks so pretty!!! It looks like a totally amazing honeymoon place... where you can just rest, relax and lounge around. I feel like getting married now so that I can go to Maldives for a honeymoon! HAHAHAHA! A must-go destination before I die!

Strange dream early this morning.

Dreamt that my mother gave birth to 2 sons! On hindsight, they could have been twins.

My little sister was a toddler in that dream, around 3-4 years old?

One of the twins was cute and smiley. The other was grumpy and frowny.

Anyway if such a thing were to happen in real life... I think I will move out of the house. Hahaha!

I would be old enough to be their mother instead of their sister! Imagine that! :x

This is not ideal but it seems like I only get the time to blog on the night before the work week starts. :( I should not be doing this! I should be sleeping!

And I've got a gazillion photos to upload for my 365 blog - that's the result of procrastinating. :(

The topic de jour for the past few days has been the General Election. Everyone - young, old, previously apathetic, on Facebook, on Twitter, on blogs - has been talking about it. It is indeed an exciting time for Singapore and Singaporeans, especially since 82 out of 87 seats are being contested this time round. It means more Singaporeans get to vote, and naturally the level of interest has escalated since it now affects more people. It is a time of change - or is it not? The general sentiment I get from the various views gathered from online platforms is that many people are highly disgruntled with the ruling party's high-handed ways, and that it is high time for checks and balances. Complacency and the inability of the ruling party to connect and listen to the people may be its downfall. And many folks of the younger generation are subscribing to this view.

Last week had been a pretty exciting week as I attended 2 rallies (also my first ever political rally!) - NSP's in Marine Parade GRC and WP's in Aljunied GRC. The first was to see whether Nicole Seah lived up to her reputation, and the second because Aljunied is one of the hotly contested constituencies this election and I for one, hope that WP will wrestle Aljunied from the PAP.

Unfortunately, my constituency, which is witnessing this election's only 3-cornered fight, is seen as a "cool seat". Besides the posters and a vague sighting of the WP, I haven't even seen any of them work the ground. I am planning to go for WP's rally tomorrow night, just to see what they have to say, because honestly even before nomination day, I have never seen or heard the candidate that WP is fielding.

On top of all this GE news and information bombarding us daily, I also got to experience the rush and thrill of nomination day, when real-time information starts to stream in and us data-entry folks would be tasked with inputting the names into the system. I've got 2 rehearsals for Polling Day this week, and on Polling Day itself, we're expected to work till the wee hours of the morning. I'm quite looking forward to it actually, despite the long hours! There will be a lot of waiting time but it's quite cool to be in the thick of all the action.

Oh yes I am also pleased and proud to update that the time taken to wear (and take out) my contact lenses has DECREASED EXPONENTIALLY! :)
My timing for the 2nd full day of contacts wearing:
Sticking it in: 20 mins
Pinching it out: 30 mins

3rd day of contacts wearing:
Sticking it in: 10 mins
Pinching it out: ~15 mins

IMPROVEMENT OR WHAT? Hahahahahaha.

So another long weekend's over. As usual I have not done anything constructive. :(
Anotherrrrrrrrrrrrr work week. But at least this week's a short week! Need to sleep!

Psst: I'm super envious of Kate Middleton because she is so so so so so gorgeous, and now she has made me want to stand at a balcony to kiss my prince charming. The balcony is important! And the prince charming should preferably not be balding! Hahaha.
