Sigh, I have zero discipline.
I've only read one chapter!
Superrrrr cannot concentrate.
And here I am listening to cheesy Korean pop songs that go "Tell Me, Tell Me, T-t-t-t-t-tell Me". -___-*
Help me, Help me, H-h-h-h-h-help me!
Study, Study, S-s-s-s-s-study!
I can now safely say that I survived Cybercrime. I was almost late for the exam but that's largely my own fault for not waking up. It's my least favourite module out of the 3 mods I'm taking this sem though. I'd be thankful if I can get at least a B.
On to my next and last exam of the year and my whole academic life... 50MCQs, 1% for each question. o.O
And since I've been sleeping really "early" for the past 2 weeks or so, it was really weird going to bed when it was still dark last night! My owlish habit is getting progressively worse and worse...

Looking forward to Shinhwa's Winter Story single in Dec! YAY~ :)

Which Sesame Street Character Are You? | |
![]() | You are Oscar the Grouch. You can be gruff and often have a chip on your shoulder. Despite your intelligence, manners (and cleanliness) are of little importance to you. At the same time, you have a few very close friends who you allow to see a softer, kinder side of you. |

8.5 more hours to first paper! And all I can think of is wanting to eat potato chips. :x
I'm rather clueless about my Cybercrime module, largely due to the fact that I spent most of my time in lectures dozing off. My feeble excuse for dozing off would be that the lecturer doesn't add any value to the already very dry and technical content... and from past experience, dozing off does not give good grades...
So I don't know how to study for it coz my lecture notes are blank and blank notes throw me off as now I have nothing substantial to fall back on. I'm 3/4 through the reading packet but gradually losing the motivation to continue reading. I think I can only answer if something on Child Pornography comes up, because that's the only thing I know after slogging on the group project.
But I guess I lucked out this semester, because while past sem's papers were the typical 2 essay questions, this sem I get MCQs, short answers and mini essays for Cybercrime and all MCQs for Advertising. While MCQs do not necessarily mean an easy paper, my Id tells me that MCQs don't require as much brain power because it's identification, not memorizing. Which explains the very slack mood I am currently enjoying.
I've even written out my to-do list when I become a jobless bum!
Yep and so it's one more week to jobless-bum-hood. Don't know if I'm looking forward to it or dreading it at this point.
(I was browsing through my archives - yes, the things one does except study when exams loom ahead - and I realized it's been a year since Thorpe called it quits! Sigh.)

I got a painfreeze from putting salt on my ulcers.
在伤口上洒盐真的是很痛很痛!!!
Now I can acutely understand the meaning of putting salt on one's wound.
I hope I wake up early enough tomorrow to call the Canon technical help. My printer mysteriously decided to spoil. Sigh.
And I feel like having bubble tea! Bubble tea~~~

Now, it's my favourite Dongwannie's birthday today! 21st Nov!
He's a November kid like me! :)
동완이 오빠! 생일 축하 해!!!
Happy 29th Birthday! :)
You and the rest of Shinhwa have made the rational me act abnormally.
I am going to see you in December!!! *stalkerish vibes*
I lived like a pig on Monday again.
Woke up at 130.
Had lunch.
DOZED OFF at 3pm.
Woke up at 6pm to go to work.
Came back and slacked.
*shakes head*
I am such a terrible person.
Anyway don't know if my internal system is getting too "heaty" or something, all the painful ulcers are coming back! This, despite me taking Vitamin B Co. daily. Sian. Don't know what's wrong, I just know that it's not funny to have a mouth full of sores overnight. :(
Maybe I need some "cooling" food?
Back to my readings. Incredibly boring readings.

Today I lived like a pig.
Woke up at the crack of dawn (at least it seemed like the crack of dawn to me).
Went to work.
Came back and had lunch.
SLEEP.
Woke up and had dinner.
SLACK.
Studying = 0.
And it only proves that I have too much time on my hands and nothing noteworthy in my brain when I start blogging daily about useless stuff.
Anyway 7 more days to my first paper and about 12 more days to the end of life as a student. :(
BUT 22 more days to HK and Jay Chou and 26 more days to Shinhwa! So, whoopee! :)
Whatever comes after that, I shall worry about it when the time comes.

Fangirl alert!
Heh :) Shinhwa won the MKMF Overseas Viewers Award! It's nice to know that they won, even though my vote is only peanuts compared to the other 7 million votes cast for them. Plus Dongwan and Eric are gonna enlist into the army next year *boohoo* which means NO SHINHWA ACTIVITIES FOR 4 YEARS! Terrible. Which makes the Shanghai concert all the more important!
Anyway the MKMF Awards seem really disorganized this year. I read about pissed off fans rioting and tearing down posters, getting into fights with other fanclubs, and then Minwoo and Hyesung canceling their appearances due to supposedly dodgy practices of deciding the winners, and the whole argument about how SuJu does not deserve to win the Best Artist of the Year award + the whole DBSK vs. Shinhwa thing. I think I have said this before, but Korean fans are really crazy. Rioting outside the venue?! Just because their idols didn't appear for the award show? Seriously... IMO indulging in fandom is just a subset of life... it's purely for entertainment (yes, this coming from someone who is flying to China for a concert). And the fangirls on Soompi need to be more mature! There is no point in bashing other artistes. So yes, congrats to SuJu (I think they're pretty funny actually) and Big Bang and all the other big winners!

As if it is of any major consequence, I noticed that Channel 5 cut out some parts of Heroes!
A couple of the very glaring omissions that I noticed right away:
- The whole Niki doing her Internet stripping part (I get why they cut that out).
- Claire telling her mom that she walked through fire (I don't get why they cut this, it isn't even particularly offensive or sexual material...?)
End of random tidbit. I have to work this weekend and next Saturday, and exams are coming. I feel very irritated because I was kind of forced into working next Saturday. GRRRRRR. Sigh okay I shall think of the money. MONEY $$$ which I obviously need for my HK trip. :(

Just when I have sufficiently reined in my sadness and grieving... when I'm able to talk about Hamster without bursting into tears... and sometimes go with days of not feeling twinges of heartbreak and sorrow... and I'm able to walk past Hamster's grave and wonder if she's at peace and happy in hamster heaven...
I was telling Yanzz about Hamster's death last morning (we were somehow awake at 6am) and she sent me this song... The song is SO SAD. :( I'm feeling emo again.
I don't think a song has ever made me cry before, but this... this is just too sad... it triggered all the sad emotions again... maybe because I can identify with it.
蔷蔷 by Ella

This song is written by Ella (of S.H.E.) for her dog 蔷蔷... who died in a surgery... It's too freaking sad. Very 心酸. This is definitely one song that I cannot put in my MP3 player. Else I will just start tearing up on the train/bus/in public.
And at the same time, I feel pangs of guilt... Hamster did die really suddenly... there was almost no warning signs at all. She was still fine on Saturday when I was cleaning her cage... running around the house in her ball... Apart from a claw was growing too long for her tiny paw everything seemed fine. And then all of a sudden when I came home from work on Monday and wanted to refill her food dish as usual, she was just lying so still under the wheel... When I saw her tiny body lying so still... cold... not moving... I knew she was gone... but I don't know why it was so sudden... I wonder if I was just too dense to notice any signs... I don't even know how long she was lying dead for... I don't know if it's due to my lack of care... but I really did try my best to take care of her as a first-time hamster owner...
I buried Hamster at around 11pm on the Monday night she died. It was heartbreaking, holding her tiny, still and cold body in my palm... her once warm and cuddly self, who always tried to bite my hand when I picked her up... yet the only time when I hold her and she's not biting me is when she's dead. :'( Her tiny little figure looked so, so fragile... broken... Her eyes were like half-open...
My dad dug a hole somewhere in a patch of earth near my void deck. I laid her in her grave... squatted beside the grave and cried like a madwoman while I looked at her motionless self lying on her side in the grave through teary eyes. The tears just kept rolling and rolling down... I probably looked a mess... like some deranged person crouching and sobbing... It wasn't the most perfect nor the most beautiful place to bury her, but I guess we had to make with it. I wish I was like Harry Potter and that I could erect a grave stone that said "Here lies Hamster, my beloved pet, who brought me so much fond memories", like what he did for Dobby. I guess that was the most excruciatingly painful and heartbreaking part... laying her in the grave and then covering her body with earth... :'(
I can't remember the last time I cried so much... till my nose hurt and my eyes were swollen the next day. I remember initially when her arrival came as a shock. And then over two years I grew to love my hamster... I loved watching her run on her wheel... it was just a big blur watching her run... and watching her scurry around... drinking water... peeking her nose out of the cage bars when I walked by... stroking her warm body... rushing to eat her 瓜子 when it was feeding time... nibbling on carrot and apple slices... even her little escapades... like the time she escaped from her cage as a tiny tot and ran into the study room... even now when I walk by her cage, in my mind's eye I see her curled up as a white fluffy ball below her wheel, her favourite sleeping place... Even carrots remind me of her now.
I was growing really fond of the little critter... somehow she wormed her way into my stone cold heart... and we were just celebrating her 2 years' old birthday too... and then she was gone just like that... ;____;
Even my mom, who usually has very little patience for tears, was very nice about it... said that I took good care of her... and that she was old and had to go eventually... even asked me if I wanted another hamster... but I don't want another hamster now... I don't want to replace Hamster so quickly... I want time to remember her...
Hamster's cage still remains untouched... the way it was when she died. I don't know what to do with it. Feels so quiet and empty without her in my life now... I miss the sound of her running on her wheel... She left a gaping hole in my life...
I guess I find some comfort in the knowledge that she would be happy in hamster heaven... enjoying all the 瓜子 and carrots there... playing with other hamster friends... I wonder if she was lonely during the two years I had her... dwarf hamsters aren't really solitary creatures from what I read on the Internet. At least I have all my happy memories with Hamster (and painful ones when she bit me), blurry photos and limited videos to remember her by... she's my first and only pet... she'll always have a very special place in my heart.
Hamster, 你并没有离开我
你只是搬到天堂生活

This week is the last week of the semester... and tomorrow is officially the last day of school for me. My last day as a student! My last day of lessons! OMG. This is happening so quickly! I don't want to graduate! If only I was Hiro Nakamura... then I can bend the time/space continuum and teleport myself to 50 years later or maybe I'll just freeze time and make it remain in this glorious period of being a carefree undergrad forever.
I'll definitely miss being a student... and even NUS. After all I spent 3.5 years of my youth there.
Yesterday was my Deutsch Semestertest! I'm officially done with Deutsch now, 100% CA means I can't do anything about it now... so from now on it's just the exams standing in between my life as an undergrad and the scary hazy future. I really hate this not knowing what to do thing. Ever since I was a kid the next 10-20 years seemed pretty fixed - study, get into a university and get a degree. I suppose it's this goal that keeps us all going and moving forward. So now I've done that but I don't know how to proceed! I'm like stuck in a rut. I need to have a plan, a goal for the next 20 or so years but from this vantage point where I'm standing, I don't see anything in front of me yet.
This quarter-life crisis thing really sucks! And it's not a recent realization, I've been thinking about life after school and future career paths for almost half a year. Sometimes I really envy all the accountancy grads, they graduate and it is almost certain that they get a job. Or those who are so sure of what they want to do when they graduate. Can somebody just plan my life out for me?
Going off a tangent, I finished watching Heroes in around 2 weeks! The show is phantastisch. Better to have finished it now than to pine for it during the exams. Which is coming up pretty soon!
I also just watched the Amazing Race and I think the dad in the father/daughter team is very very annoying.
Last night I had a dream about a hamster. I'm not sure if it was my hamster but the dreamhamster was scurrying around pretty fast and it got sucked into one of those drainage holes and while I was trying to grab it before the water sucked it in, it glowed neon pink and morphed into a prawn. Very weird dream.
I wished I took more videos and photos of Hamster while she was still around though. I looked through my collection and realized I only have like around 4 good quality videos and tons of very blurry pictures of her. Oh well.

Gosh. Getting cold feet about becoming a teacher after I browsed through this thread in the Flowerpod forum.
I'm chickening out!!! Gotta rethink hard about jumping into this... perhaps working in a cubicle and staring at a monitor 8 hours a day would be a better option for an introvert like me...
Going into teaching because "I can't find any better job" or "I don't know what else to do" is a bad bad idea.
And besides, there seems to be some error when I tried to submit my application online. Maybe it's a sign!

Previously, on My Boring Life...
Heroes marathon.
Legs feeling itchy. Might be due to the picnic yesterday.
Have not studied for Deutsch test because of Heroes marathon.
Going for Jay Chou's concert in HK! Was a rather impromptu thing but still very excited!
Missing Hamster every day. It's rather quiet at night without her running on the wheel.
And now, back to Heroes.

My newest food obsession:

Macaroons!!!
I bought some along the AS1/AS6 walkway on my birthday as I thought I'd give myself a treat. They're damn sweet but quite yummy really. The poor orange one got crushed by the time I got home but nevertheless it's still yummy.
Now I'm limiting my intake of it to one per day so that I can slowly savour it while I'm watching Heroes at night. Hee. I will not think of getting fat for the time being. Especially after indulging in ice cream and birthday cake. :)
Speaking of Heroes, I finally got around watching it after almost half a year and it is really intriguing even though I'm only at episode 4. Albeit a bit gross and spooky if you watch it at 4am. I know Channel 5 is gonna show it soon. And horrible Channel 5 is not showing The Amazing Race 12! It's premiering today in the U.S.! :(
My uncle passed me one of his PDAs for my birthday so my newest techie hobby now is fiddling with the PDA. It's a bit too high tech for me since I think a normal phone would suffice judging from my extremely unharried and unbusy lifestyle, but I'm never one to reject high tech stuff, LOL. So far so good, I've managed to hook it up to our wireless connection but I can't view Youtube vidoes on the browser nor sign into Blogger for that matter. Maybe it's browser incompatibility but imagine if I can blog on the go, hahahaha. That would supremely awesome. Now I can surf the net on my bed and risk spoiling my eyesight. :)

Hehe I like this... my hair's all standing up!

My first birthday party with lots of food :)

Turning 2... and there's still lots of food. :)

Now I'm 3! *holds up 3 stubby fingers*

LOL at my expression. "Why on earth are they making so much noise?"

One year older and not minding the noise so much! :D

From last year!
Fascinating, how we grow up.
And we must not forget Hamster... who turns 2!
Even though I don't really know her exact date of birth. Haha!
